The Pioli Watch Thread

I'm hijacking the thread starter to use for an "updates" area. Sorry cardken. Here are a few recent updates:

Pioli would find a warm welcome in Kansas City. At the last Chiefs' home game, shortly after the embattled Carl Peterson resigned after 20 years as president, general manager and CEO, several signs were spotted in the crowd proclaiming, "We want Pioli." Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

I understand that, but the fact that nothing is coming out of arrowhead, and all the speculation is coming from the actions that the browns are doing... is telling that no one has a f'ng clue about whats going on.

Thwitlock made a good point in his article. Good base to build on. High draft picks this year. Plenty of cap room. New fancy schmancy Arrowhead ready for a fanbase just waiting to bring the noise back to Arrowhead.

I'm sure I'm biased in this but it does seem like a great job.

Sorry, got you guys backwards.

But what do you want from a cranky old bastard?

Perfect. This way, no matter what happens, I can bump this thread later and tell every one I told you so.

Actually, I intended it seriously, with a little over-the-top optimism 'cause I could really see all this coming together.

And why would a new owner come in and tell "Bill Parcells" how to do things when taking an organization from 1-15 to 11-5 in one year? Parcells likes Miami and the new owner is not that stupid unless his name is Daniel Snyder.

The best part I like about this is, is that he is Parcells son-in-law so you know he has learned from one of the best in building winning teams.

It was a small chance anyway, but when a name like that even has a chance to be available... it gets people talking.

Also this could be simply a "poker play" on Pioli's part in getting what he wants by telling the media everything is very inviting about each organization. Poker IMO. He ain't here until he signs on the dotted line!

I was at Dallas airport this week and ate at Cowboys bar and they had some pictures and jerseys of their 90's team on the wall and it got me thinking we have some pieces in place to be that team. It got me real exicted.
