The Bills take the AFC this seasom

Are you ready for some football!?

I know I am!

With that, I am here to make a proclamation!

The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.

For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.

A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.

The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

Let’s go mighty Buffalo Bills! 🦬 🦬 🦬

Imagine for a moment your division opponents are Miami, New England, and the Jets.

Good lord that's complete and utter dogshit.

This is a good point. Who would win if the Chiefs started Wentz
And the Bills started Trubisky?

Our division wasn't much better until recently.

The Chargers were at least a playoff team a few times during the Mahomes era but the Raiders/Broncos were toast. There was one season where the Raiders had a great record with Carr but that was a "Flowers for Algernon" type year for them. The Broncos haven't made the playoffs since their last SB win.

Last year, the Dolphins were a playoff team. The Patriots made the playoffs several years ago but weren't very good.

He probably should have bought Tyler Bass dinner for erasing his Grbacian last drive (including a fumble and dropped INT, right?) from football fans’ collective consciousness. It really proves that if he’s not perfect, the Bills are going to struggle to win (and even if he is, he could still lose 13 seconds style).
Even before messing up the later part of that drive, Josh got away with a fumble and interception ball in the early part of that drive. Chiefs failed to get the turnover on those 2 chances, but thankfully it did not blow up in their face with the rest of that drive.

That ended his success but he lost his fastball when he didn’t want to put the work in anymore and just started hiring shitheads that worked for him and bombed elsewhere.

The perfect encapsulation is hiring Matt Patricia a former defensive coordinator to be OC. Causing an absolute schlub of a QB in Mac Jones to say “this is unprofessional. I’m bringing in someone else to help me coach…myself.”

When Belicheat made Cassel an asset he could use to rape his former Brother****ing Cheatriot ****bag castoffs, he still had his fastball. He doesn’t have that anymore.

Belichick’s decline in NE was mostly self inflicted personnel decline.

They were so enamored with their own genius they thought Jimmy G would replace Brady and that any quick white WR would be Welker.

But there were issues with age of scheme too.

Belichick looked lost at times defending basic college Air Raid concepts. He never fiully adjusted like Reid did to the college spread.

I think his defense had the juice. It was over the moment he got addicted to his own farts and promoted ✏️ 👂 to offensive coordinator.

Defensively, Bill’s gameplan to defend the Buffalo’s K-Gun offense sits in the hall of fame, and crazily, he pretty much rolled out the same gameplan against Mahomes almost 30 years later in the AFCCG.

The thing of it is, for that gameplan to work, your offense has to control the football. The Bills in 91 and the Chiefs in 19 both had the ball for around 20 minutes.

And it’s going to be much harder to control the football for long, sustained drives with Mac Jones instead of Tom ****ing Brady.

The Superman narrative is nauseating.

The guy can stand back there and bake a cake before anyone touches him. He's supported by one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, with two backs averaging over 5 ypc. He has solid weapons all over the field and a great OC.

MVS, a postseason hero in KC the last two years, was targeted 9 times in 6 games in Buffalo, averaging 4 yds/game. He then goes on to immediately produce legit numbers in a weak Saints offense.

Buffalo is not short on offensive talent, and Allen is not required to be Superman.

Before the 13 seconds game Allen had a huge game against the NE defense.

BB's complex scheme requires communication and switching responsibilities.

Daboll had Allen audible to the same Air Raid overs play 20 times and every time guys were running wide open. Allen wasn't even particulate accurate (he was often throwing late) but it didn't matter as guys were college open against Belichick.

Well, yeah, for once his defense isn't one of the best in the league. But let's see him win more than two out of five games vs playoff teams before crowning him Superman.

I mean neither of the ints we had against Stroud were all that difficult -- both were just really bad balls.

But we were due some of those. Omenihu's return and thus the increased effectiveness of the DL is paying dividends even when we don't realize it, IMO.

I know everyone picks on Jameis, but the Chiefs made some pretty nice plays on the ball in that one.

Only the Hicks pick at the end (which I don’t think was even Winston) was a complete gimme.

Bolton and McDuffie made great plays. Even Cook’s was impressive given how hard he came down to hold onto it.
