So just saw an email from TD Ameritrade saying there's micro e-Mini futures vehicles now.

Can't say for certain whether it's good or not I never assed myself to 'learn' how to trade futures..

I think it was Lewdog that talked about this a few pages back and it sort of made sense for me. You are essentially buying the stock for the same value no matter the price. And if someone is willing to buy Amazon for $2000 then they will buy it at $5000.

That's true. I have been in a discord chat group for stock trading for about a year now. It started off with a few hundred users and most of them were pretty smart. Once the coronavirus started shutting everything down and people got laid off back in February, it jumped to a few thousand. Most of the new guys had no clue what they were doing and bought and sold like it. It's my opinion that all those new traders that came in looking to get rich quick mostly lost their asses.

Full disclosure, if I were a trader in a discord group, I’d be among the riff raff.

Go with mutual funds. AKREX,HGICX, QQQE. Takes the worry away because some other jerk is managing your money but he gets paid for doing that.

OK but I don't agree. If the stock is at 2500 and it goes to a 100/1 split it just makes sense people are going to bail in on Amazon at $25 /share and everybody that got the split gets to enjoy the ride back to 2500 times 100

Probably a little late in the year to do this but I went ahead and implemented the "Dogs of the Dow" strategy this morning. Of course all 10 stocks I bought went down.

And that is why they are the dogs of the Dow.

I'm not quite sold on the strategy though I've talked to people who have done that.

It's been rather proven. I think you have to let it play out to so the dividends can play a big part. I should have done it in January.

Yes I've seen some data on it, I guess it's just not for me is all.

Good luck with it though.

I just love Lex Loser, Oaktard, Donger and Cosmo/RodeoShitHisPants2x's threads!

Whatever they say, do the opposite and you'll be fine!
