Let's talk about the Miami Dolphins

Here is my $500,000 question on this game.

Will Spags and Co play it straight and keep their powder dry for the playoffs?

Last season the Chiefs defense (and maybe Andy, don't recall) kept things very vanilla when they went to Cincy.

They lost that battle, but won the war, because the defensive wrinkles Spags wanted to use against the Bengals were unveiled in the AFC Championship and held their offense at bay just enough for gimpy Mahomes to drag us over the finish line late.

Will Spags come into this game guns blazing and try to take out the Dolphins early this season? OR will he keep his cards hidden for the real season?

Yeah, so they half assed there way through a game... they do that a lot and it rarely bites them in the ass. They were also in the game into the 4th, that's just how poorly they can play and how awful the Broncos are, but of course they ****ed around and found out.

Not saying it’s ultimately the right way to do it, especially when I waste 3 hours on that bullshit (much less tickets and so forth), but I can see why it's hard to focus on a 2nd Broncos week in 3 weeks when there are big fish to fry.

The first game against the Broncos, the plays looked like a Chargers practice walkthrough as many of the plays seemed to be better to use against LAC then Denver.

The last game was just fail, hard to tell what they were trying.

That "Dolphins guy" doesn't know what he's talking about, or only watched the Dolphins-Eagles game. They ran for only 70 yards against the Chargers and put up 36 points. They only ran for 78 yards against the Patriots and put up 31 points.

Conversely, their 3 lowest scoring games were also their 3 games with the least passing yards.

It was a guy who covers the Dolphins. He's right. Everyone else says the same thing, including the Chiefs.

You have to get Tua in long yardage situations and get him off his spot. He struggles when you do that. He isn't mobile and their OL isn't great and is banged up.

As opposed to other QBs, who struggle in advantageous down/distance situations without pressure.

Tua struggles more than guys like Mahomes, Burrow or Allen in these situations.

Would you rather have EB or Nagy instead?

McDaniels has it so much easier than Nagy ever did. The guy has tons of talent and a QB that isn't a backup at best.

Nagy had a winning record in Chicago as HC despite being strapped to 2 of the worst highly drafted QB's in the last 20 years.

He's also the only HC to lead the Bears to their only playoff appearances in the last 13 years.

Not worth rehashing, Nagy is fine but he did **** all (for reasons you listed) after that playoff appearance which was on the back of one of the best defenses in the league over a 10 year stretch

I mean previously Lovie Smith took them to a SB with Rex ****ing Grossman

Miami is desperate for the SB like Cinci. The time line is dwindling after this year. They gotta pay Tua or start over at QB. Waddle also will want big money.
