Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Watson otoh....
That's part of what makes him frustrating. You see a guy with the necessary tools to make throws but he will always go short and conservative. He plays like he has a puss arm but that's not the case.

Adam Teicher charted the stats from Saturday, Sunday, and Monday's practices for the QBs. This is what he came up with:

Smith: 41-of-62 (66.1 percent) with one interception in full-team drills, 32-of-42 (76.2 percent) in 7-on-7 drills.

Bray: 27-of-45 (60 percent) with two interceptions in full-team drills, 21-of-32 (65.6 percent) with one interception in 7-on-7 drills.

Mahomes: 31-of-45 (68.9 percent) in full-team drills, 17-of-28 (60.7 percent) in 7-on-7 drills.

This (small) sample size supports the notion that Mahomes is better in full-team situations than 7-on-7.

That's impressive even if it is against the second team

Mahomes is a freaking stud! He's going to be great because he has to be. We can't take much more of garbage taking the snaps.

I mean I guess he could surprise me but I fear he's going to get chewed up. He needs time to sit more than Mahomes does.

Mahomes' arm talent will make up for some of his ignorance, Watson not so much.

But that the dudes on 810 (other than Brisco) just love Watson because he's a winner. Yeah. Okay.
Yea I would not clump Watson in the company of Mariota, Wilson, Luck, and Newton in the group of successful college QBs who can start in the NFL Day 1

i haven't seen it posted yet, but doesn't mean it hasn't...

you have to consider the family lineage. sort of like the manning family. the boys only succeeded because of their father.

not saying it guarantees success, but having senior as your mentor is not going to hurt your ability to act and play like a professional.

to me, this nods junior in the direction of a true professional. knock on wood.

I've talked about don't discount his pedigree, he has been playing sports and throwing from age 5 & his dad was a MLB player that should count for something imo.

He talks about how he could have gone pro in the Major League but he fell in love with football & he made the choice for football.

Father of Texas Tech quarterback arrested at TCU game

OCTOBER 30, 2016 11:30 AM

FORT WORTH
The father of Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes was arrested on a public intoxication charge during the Red Raiders’ game at TCU on Saturday, according to a police report.

Pat Mahomes, 46, a former major-league pitcher, was taken into custody at Amon Carter Stadium at 5:45 p.m., toward the end of Texas Tech’s double-overtime win over the Horned Frogs.

Mahomes was causing a disturbance and “acting belligerent” in the stands when he was arrested by an off-duty Fort Worth police officer who was working at the game, said Sgt. Marc Povero, a Fort Worth police spokesman.

Mahomes was booked into the Fort Worth city jail and released later Saturday night.
not like he got busted dealing crack, but it makes my previous statement a little more foolish
