Who knows. The bad playcalling in short yardage is 100% Andy Reid. It was a problem with KC's offense when Nagy was in Chicago as well.

That is incredibly concerning that a "speed guy" is getting zero separation from Brian Branch.

Or maybe the WR wasn't where they were supposed to be or timing got off.

There were a couple of times last night where Mahomes went to fire the ball, stopped and then reloaded to go to a different WR. Something was definitely off but unsure what it was.

I don't know if he's necessarily to blame but it's pretty clear his presence wasn't a net positive in any way. That was the most grabastic performance I've seen from them in a long, long time.

I don't know how you could blame them for no one remembering how to catch a football last night, but if it continues then the blame moves toward them.

Also, whole team looked distracted all game. Maybe it was going to battle without Kelce and Jones being a distraction…and one thing lead to more…but the team looked uncharacteristically sloppy.

They will get it cleaned up.

He's not really a straight line speed guy though. He's a "quickness in space" guy.

He ran a 4.48 at the combine.

I’d say the whole offense. Everything else was nails.

Can’t blame them too much with kelce last minute scratch, Toney last minute add, tons of inexperience, tons of mix and match with WRs, oh and it’s game 1. Woof.

And the stupid horizontal jet sweep plays that go the wrong direction in short yardage. Multiple busted plays on those attempts last night, pretty similar to the problems we have seen on those plays for years.

Why is Andy so stubborn with this? I would rather see Mahomes throw the ball in this situation than the gimmicky jet sweep plays Andy is attempting.

I dunno there's plenty there and other clips with both Smith's struggling and even with Taylor riding those initial hits you can see how Mahomes feels a collapsing pocket, even when occasionally it isn't. I don't think either Smith was good.
