Negative, ghost rider.

Stick him in and see how he fares. If he's worth his weight, he'll either excel or take his lumps and respond accordingly.

This makes me think of Kevin Ross starting as a late-round rookie and getting destroyed by the flash-in-the-pan star for the Steelers, Louis Lipps. Granted, Kevin Ross was Rock, but that may have been the only bad game he had in his career.

For a guy that doesn't believe in luck, momentum, gut feelings, or anything else non-numerical going into a football decision, this post is quite bizarre.

When did I say I didn't believe in luck? I always talk about luck. Most fans discount it...and think if a team won or lost never had anything to do with luck.

For example, KU got extremely lucky last week when they defeated Iowa State. Iowa State threw a red zone int, muffed a punt and missed 3 FGs. Even as a KU fan I am able to sit my bias aside and think objectively to see that the Jayhawks were very fortunate.

BWillie is one of the worst KU fans we have so judge accordingly. He sets his bias aside and constantly says negative shit about them and it gets really old.

Tim Grunhart was on the radio discussing such things and made some valid points even though I rarely agree with him.

Being a realist is not negative. Being objective and discussing what the stats and your eyes tell you is why we have these message boards. Sometimes it is disappointing so many fans take things so personal and get upset when objectivity is thrown in the middle of fandom. Its similar to when the bball coach doesn't play a parents son even if the son sucks and isn't good enough. The parent will never believe that to be true.

Lol that you think you have to be a negative sour puss to be "objective". Do you think people hate you because you tell the truth? Or is it because you suck in formulating valid opinions?

Be objective.

I'd need a lot of confidence that he's truly completely past that injury before I put him back out there.
The majority of the time, this is my view on soft tissue injuries, as well…but this game is most definitely weighted differently than others and the winner could very well end up with the bye.

I am not good at explaining my stance to emotional beings well. You are right. The approach that would work best would be less fact driven and more personable type stuff that appeals to feelings.

That would be counter productive IMO. He needs to learn how to match up with the best receivers possible before it's a win or go home scenario. He played very well against Arizona, if he's healthy he should play.
