Maybe a few did in the early to mid 2000's when message boards were the top way to communicate online. Even then, computers and the modern internet were in the early stages and not as many people had them/access to them.

Pretty much all of them use twitter or facebook for that now. Message boards and forums like this are a dying breed. This shit is VCRs in the land of Netflix.

Yeah, I'd think they might browse either for the same reasons we do or out of curiosity of what people are saying about them or the team... but, they've been heckled since high school, scrutinized/analyzed since at least college... they certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over what's being said on a message board.

Most players playing today probably wouldn't even know what a message board was. They'd probably assume you were talking about facebook, twitter, youtube comments, or the sea of angry old people at the end of every sports article.
