Look at the Raiders Suck thread and this one. Take out Knowmo and this thread will barely get posted in. He is what keeps this thread going which is about all he has that’s going right regarding football.

Knowmo is a core member of CP. This place wouldn't be the same without him.

If CP were a sitcom he'd be the neighbor that chimes in every episode with something really stupid for comedic relief.

I certainly hope he's there for years and years and years. Seems he's just as bad at GMing as Drunk John.

All of the above will be proven true after they conquer the Colts 12-11 Thursday night. Preseason's over now, baby.

2. Was Wilson being held back by Carrol...nope. His last two years of QB play look to be the norm and his hot start in 2020 was an aberration.

3. Denver has a bad roster with non-extent depth? Yep...they have a handful of good not great players.

There isnt a quick fix this time...no draft capital, declining QB eating their resources for years, inadequate coaching....this is a 4 year disaster.

I thought it looked bad on paper...and guess what, it's even worse.

Donks need hire Payton for a billion dollars, have him clean house in the off-season and start the rebuild. It's at least two more seasons before this team is somewhat moving in a positive direction...draft a QB in 2024 when they finally have a 1st round pick. Groom him for a year under Wilson..

The only way to win with Wilson, at the stage, is to have a top 3 defense, top 5 running game and keep games within one score...then hope for some 4th quarter heroics. Not too much different than the LOB years...
I agree with all except one thing. They have one great player, Surtain. He is a stud and should be based on where he was drafted.

They bought a lemon from the used car lot. He's not the difference maker they traded for.

In fairness...I dont think he was the driving force behind trading for Wilson.

The previous owners dont just OK a historic level trade while in the process of selling the team....the new owners would be on the dole for Moob's new contract.

I would guess this was part of the deal...and a prerequisite for a record selling price. "The team needs a franchise QB"...

Seattle took them to the cleaners...and the previous owners gave zero shits as long as it finalized the sale. Walton gave zero shits as his new toy comes with a name brand, marketable QB...

NFL is/was trying trying hard to manufacture the Donks into something they're not...a winner....hence 3 of their first 5 games have been on national broadcast including opening weekend.

If the salty Saints supporters are any indication, Paton just poached a popular player
