Let’s talk about the Texans

They are good and tough, noon game at Arrowhead. Your thoughts?

Chiefs blitz the third highest rate in the NFL. Since week seven, CJ Stroud has the lowest quarterback ranking against the blitz in the entire NFL. Against the blitz in that time, he has a 48% completion percentage. Who let the dogs out?

This is all setting up a total beatdown. We started winning by multiple scores again so...why not keep it going?

27-10 Chiefs

How does KC strategically prepare for this game? They have Brown coming back...how much of his role do they want to show when the Chiefs could be playing Houston again in four games when it matters.

I was going to say this is week one of KC "magically" turning it on...and scoring more than 30 for the first time...but I think if they get a lead...they'll deliberately reel it back.

Texans arent really playing for anything...they already won their division and have the Ravens coming up. Not sure they gain much from fighting for the 3rd seed. They could shut things down a bit until the post-season...that's what I would do. They are playing two teams they might see again shortly...

You just give Brown the same routes Watson is running. Easy. He will get open on the same routes a far higher percentage of the time.

I'm down with KC playing it close to the vest...they've proven they can win this way.

They will definitely be using this game to scout the Texans...probably likewise.

You only need to win by one point...

Texans gonna attack the LB's with passes to RB and TE. They know we can't cover them. Also feel on defense that they can get pressure by only sending 4. Gonna play the Safeties shallow and challenge all the short and intermediate routes. Which means, if we have time, the deep stuff will be there.
They're really shooting their mouths off. They do not respect KC and feel KC is more lucky then good THIS season. They're pretty cocky about coming into Arrowhead and winning. Not "Bengals cocky," but they're close. Just about every interview they allude to the fact that "they're coming" and the Chiefs better be ready for them...

Yeah, it took six turnovers to win by two scores. I don't see that happening. The Chiefs are who they are this year. And they're good at doing what they do. It'll be a one score game. I hope the Butt Kicker's leg is better than last week. Going to need every point we can get, especially with Mahomes hobbling.

Curious to see how we play them this weekend. If/when we get the 1 seed we are probably playing the Texans or Ravens in the divisional round.

Defeating the current NFL SB winners would be a feather in their cap.

A good coach would be preaching that to the team.

Should we root for Broncos or Chargers tonight? Based on # 1 seed scenarios and chances. Or it does not really matter.

I’ll be rooting for the Broncos.

Broncos winning is the most likely scenario in which the Bengals get eliminated from playoff contention, so that’s nice. I also think the Chargers would match up better with the Bills assuming they get the 2 seed.
