The Pittsburgh game was a fluke. A few balls don't bounce your way, the defense was banged up and they go down 22-0 in a flash. Hard to come back from in those circumstances.
The playoffs don't work that way. If we are going to make a playoff run, we have to expect a game or two where the opposing offense kicks it up a gear. Like most game managers, we're built well for the regular season, but not for a playoff run unless Alex can adjust to game conditions. Watching Alex try to outmanaging Brady in desperation mode last year was brutal to watch.

I'm not a pure Alex hater. I wasn't crazy about his play second half of last year, but I thought it was acceptable. But he's reverted to the same overconservative BS this year.

Isn't this what you said about geno? When you predicted Carr, Brees, and luck would dominate us?

Your takes are more worthless than the free taco you had from taco bell

You insinuated that all Foles does is chuck it.

I just showed you that the Eagles had a high third-down conversion ratio when he was their starter.

I debunked your stupid crap.

Try to keep up. Or don't, since Nick Foles is about to steal the job from Alex, never give it back, and let you scuttle off to whatever dark corner you came from in horrible shame.

It does.

Reid coaches the offense to help the defense.

Slow, plodding with no turnovers makes our defense seem much better than it is.

Have to give Reid credit for that .... and i'm not a fan of Reid as OC.

Why do you need the extreme version of that? I don't think anyone Alex to light up scoreboards. Just loosen up defenses. A more aggressive Alex Smith is still turnover proof. I'd rather throw a few more picks a year if it means taking a few more shots a game.

Their defense isn't horrible but you could argue that, since the team is so bad, teams don't generally have to pass on them too often.

He didn't until McNabb. It's a more conservative offense. But McNabb, vick, and Foles took a lot of shots downfield once upon a time. You can't do that if you call in a play and the qb continually looks for the check down

15-2, Bitches.

And that's what you all are: Bitches.
I'll watch this week because I know my eyes won't be bleeding for 3 hours.

And if Foles ****s it all up, at least I didn't have to watch Alex Smith run an offense.

And that alone is worth 3 hours of my valuable time.

So there.

These past three games he has taken a lot more downfield shots. Just like you're eluding to.

I think that version of him is just right.

Really?

The version that scored 17 points AT HOME against the worst D in football is "just right?"

The version that completed less than half his passes and only found the end zone because the defense gifted him a short field is "just right?"

so then Foles should be gripping and ripping in KC too then.

Like i said earlier in the thread, Foles The Answer is here. The only problem with our entire team is now off the field.

40+ pts, 450+ yrd passing, 0 turnovers
150 yards each for Maclin,Conley and Hill
West should be a LeSean McCoy clone, 180 total yrds from scrimmage

I can't wait!!

Let's bet on it...
Barring injury, if Smith is the week 12 starter you stay off CP til the season is over. If Smith quits football or if Foles wins the starting role I'll stay off CP for 3 months.

Deal?
