I agree. While I've capitalized on a couple of suggestions in here. The pump and dump stocks that get mentioned in here are a huge turnoff and waste of time imo.

MMM has an expected dividend date of 5/21. I don't believe they have missed a payment in 60 odd years.

It is. However, the initial intent was to be a place to actually discuss and educate people on best practices. It's increasingly drifted toward /r/wallstreetbets, which is bordering on gambling.

Penny stocks aren't exactly core to a strategy that is likely to work out for people long-term.

Gotcha.....I think with SIP going on right now some of us are just trying to pass the time. I have my retirement investments in mutual funds and real estate but since C19 and SIP I signed on to an Etrade account and began dabbing in the low cost stocks just more for fun and time consumption than for anything else. I`m not using money I cant afford to lose but am actually doing quite well using some tips here and in a couple other forums I nose around in. Just having fun.

They aren’t as financially strong during this as expected. I’ll try to find good summary later. I bought shares at $131 on the recent dip and sold today at $150. I was on the fence but I’m going more cash currently for better buying opportunities coming....Maybe.

Yeah, they had a nice rise since March 23 like a few other stocks did, I don't understand how they aren't taking off like crazy in this environment. Seems 150 has been the ceiling for a couple weeks.

I started a small position in TLT. I use it as a hedge type move to lessen losses in a decline without having to buy an inverse fund and get totally ****ed (have before-oops).

Really anyone can learn basic investing. People just always seem to busy to learn about how to manage money. I have a Master’s degree but have never taken a single business course. I just wanted to learn how to manage money so I self taught just reading articles and a few books. I firmly believe all college graduates should have to take a finances course and much of the basics should be taught in high school.
