I love these people whose entire argument is "**** you, Pioli".

If the pick is good, explain why it's good. Why do you think player X, Y, Z will fit in well. What will he do that will help us out? What does he project to? Who does he compare to?

If your only refutation is to invoke Pioli, you have no argument.

Appealing to authority is a classic logical fallacy.

If he gets all the credit for NE's draft, then he makes stinkbomb picks
If he gets none of the credit, he's never been the guy before

And yet, if it's either choice, he's unassailable.

Riddle me this:

Was Jim Clemons, master of the Triangle, a massive ****ing success when he went from being an assistant with the Bulls to the head coach of the Mavs? Or was he the same guy he always was and was camouflaged by superior talent?

No, some of us sitting out here watching the draft are willing to let Pioli do his thing. Time will tell.
