It was 2 calls in the first half. Never have we seen this much crying about penalties that had zero impact on the score board.

We really need to bump some old threads on here about the Patriots and other NFL rigging when the Chiefs sucked. A lot of you looked like the jackasses that you are complaining about now.

Probably in some cases, but surely not on the Fisher hold against Pittsburgh or the Jones roughing against New England. Those were legit ****ings. At least the penalties the Texan are crying about were actually... penalties.

1. Referees help the Chiefs with calls: Since Patrick Mahomes took over as the starting QB in 2018, the Chiefs have been called for 846 more penalty yards, against them, than their opponents. That's the 3rd worst differential of any team in the NFL. In fact, the zebras have been making life hard for the Chiefs.

Offensive drives turn into touchdowns at a 22% pace, league wide. Since 2018, the Chiefs have been called for offensive holding 196 times. The reason that this is important is that when a team is called for an offensive penalty during that drive, the touchdown rate falls from 22% to 14%. So, not only are the Chiefs victims of the most offensive holding calls, they've managed to overcome those penalties with a top rated offense.

2. Patrick Mahomes gets a beneficial flag any time he is touched: Since 2018, Patrick Mahomes has played in 112 games and has dropped back to pass more than 4,100 times. Of those 4,100+ drop backs, there have been a total of 30 roughing the passer flags. That's 16th of any QB who's played in the NFL sine 2009. Do the math.

3. The Chiefs always get the calls in crucial situations: Be it 3rd and long or 4th and medium, those big plays when it matters most, the conspiracy theory is that the officials go out of their way to help the Chiefs in those moments. On plays of 3rd and 10 or longer, or 4th and 5 or longer, the Chiefs have just 2 penalties, for the entire season, that were in their favor. That's 15th in the NFL. Let's add to that, this little factoid. When looking at penalties in the second half, in 1 score games in 2024, no team has had more flags thrown against them than the Chiefs.

This whole narrative that the officials always help the Chiefs is just plain garbage.

* statistical data is pre-post season.
I posted this stuff all over Facebook. The people responding are hilariously stupid. They won't even read it.

The worst was when Hogan trapped the ball...they even reviewed/upheld it.

Patriots had way more egregious/critical calls go their way...Let's compare 4th quarter bail-out DPIs for Brady vs. Mahomes? that was the Refs "go to" for the Tongue-kisser.

I dont remember NE getting TDs taken off the board...ever. KC had two just this last post-season...all other teams had 0

So the OPI that was called DPI at the end of the first half turned out to be a big one.

I’m sure the National Media will spend most of their time discussing that.
