You actually believe that he hoped to get a bunch of high picks, a starting caliber TE, starting caliber D-lineman, AND a QB of the future?

Or did he just want to add a QB who could compete with Smith until they find their franchise guy. No....that couldn't be it.

Yea, saying Lock was the QB he wanted doesn't mean that he thought he was going to be the QBOTF.

That's just the guy he wanted to take a flier on.

It's meaningless and anybody with half a brain would understand this.

if you get blown out in an AFCCG (by mahomes), consider the trade a success

Montana was 37 and had thrown 21 passes combined in the previous 2 seasons when he started for KC. Wilson is 33 and has thrown 958 passes over the past 2 seasons. I’m not sure I see the comparison.

Also, if we get blown out in the AFCCG, it will obviously be by Allen.

BTW, in the corresponding 4 game stretch by Mahomes, he had 2 fumbles, so just one fewer than Wilson.
