I love spicy foods, but can't for the life of me find the allure of spicy drinks.

Chili Beer, Micheladas, Bloody Marys, heck even tomato juice and V8 are pretty disgusting to me, relatively speaking.

I've pan fried a few burritos over that past week or so, and they all have gotten nicely browned with a slightly crispy texture to them. They're not chewy, they're still definitely a burrito, but the tortilla has a wonderful textural contrast to it. And I've only been using 2-3 tablespoons of oil.

Gotcha. Sorry, I had it in my head you were trying to do what I was doing, which is crisping up a flour tortilla.

I have nothing worthwhile to add about frying taco shells.

He's pulling them out too soon. I said this the first time he had the issue. Let them cook and don't get impatient. Put two in a pan with an inch of oil and cook the shit out of them.

I grew up on fried corn tortillas, my mom scraped by all her life, tacos were cheap and easy. I watched everything she did.
