So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

Wildcard thought here. What about a sleek TE like Harrison Bryant?

I've been obsessed with this guy for awhile. Took him as the first TE off the board in the CP Mock. I think he IS the best TE in this draft, and if we were to add a new dimension to our passing game and transform it so that just as teams thought they figured us out they now had to contend with THIS asshole with Kelce in the same formations?

Before Aaron Hernandez was a murderer and a corpse, he and Gronk were a ****ing lethal combination that was allowed to do so much damage because of Randy Moss and Wes Welker demanding so much attention.

We've basically got the Moss/Welker thing covered with our WR corps. You want to find something that will REALLY rape faces? Put in Bryant.

To be honest, I have no clue why Kmet and others are put way ahead of Bryant on draft boards. I'm not saying Bryant is a top 10 pick kind of TE, but he IS a smooth athlete who catches everything and has the size to match up against any defender.

Outside of QB, K and P.....I could be talked into pretty much any position at 32 or after a trade down.

Kelce isn’t going to play forever....so having a 2nd TE that can step in and not cause us any issues would be beneficial.

He is a smart football player that is a plus asset in the red zone because of his size. But another thing that jumps out about Pittman is his devastating blocking ability and he is a MONSTER on special teams. He was a team captain at USC and his coaches have nothing but praise for him in terms of how he plays the game. If he is on the board still near the bottom of the second round, I can only pray that the Chiefs would consider him for their offence, because he would be an instant matchup nightmare and plus special-teams asset at the bare minimum.
Yes, he is a wrecking ball.

I like his tape for sure.

That said, I'm really high on our new signing, RSJ. I feel like he disappeared in Cleveland through no fault of his own, and I think he's going to blow up. He's better than Blake Bell (lol) and looks like a faster, more sure-handed version of Dumbasstrious Harris. With a better QB, more space to operate and a way better play-caller, he could really ball out. He's a perfect TE-2.

I still think we need a TE-1 of the future some point soon, though, so who knows?

The point is that we may already have a bird-in-the-hand at linebacker of which we are unaware. This, of course, would reduce the need to use a mid-to-late draft pick for that position.

Still see this as a dark horse selection and would be completely fine with it.

**** that. There’s not going to be an OT sitting at 32 that’s so good that you pass up on CB/LB/WR/RB.

Starting to think Damon Arnette, CB Ohio State is criminally underrrated. He reminds me of Tre White coming out in 2017 who is now an All-Pro CB for Buffalo.

Read that he played the year with a broken wrist and was still ridiculously mean and physical, smooth in coverage. Looks like a perfect corner for our system.

There is also this:

PFF Draft

Ohio State CB Damon Arnette: Lowest passer rating allowed in single coverage in the NFL Draft.

I'm not advocating for it at all.

Only rationale I can think of is you think the talent level available at 32 this year is so much better than what will generally be available at 32 in future years that you think its worth taking a guy but only getting 4 years at his natural position rather than 5.
