OceanGate's website advertises a seven-night voyage to the Titanic for US$250,000 per person, or approximately CA$330,000.
"We are exploring and mobilizing all options to bring the crew back safely," an OceanGate spokesperson said in an email to CTV News. "Our entire focus is on the crewmembers in the submersible and their families."


Those tours are a series of five eight-day missions to the Titanic with the money raised by tourists going towards Titanic research. Posts on social media show the ship launched from the St. John's area last week.

The more one reads about this, the more baffling it is that it wasn't illegal

No official maritime agency approved it, and of course their own whistle blowing employee spelled out the problems with its design and the inadequate tech they used to test its structural integrity

No reliable comms
No location beacon
Video game controls
On and on and on the list goes

May these people all find themselves in Heaven, but man alive you'd have to be an absolute ****ing fool to climb aboard that thing

Her LinkedIn page says that she has participated in three OceanGate expeditions to the Titanic wreckage in the last two years; that she serves as the company’s communications director; and that she is a longtime board member of the company’s charitable foundation.

Ms. Rush could not immediately be reached for comment for this item.
