This ones been bothering me all day and I've had no one to vent it to:

I figure its only a matter of time before Mars declares independence from Earth. Funny thing to say seeing we haven't even put a man there yet, but the way I see it, its inevitable. First a man, then a colony, possibly some "greening" action, and suddenly they think they're capable enough to be independent. Maybe some ways down the road a viable trade partner a la USA and Britain.

So, over/under 200 years after we put a man on Mars they declare independence?

Ken Block present Gymkhana FIVE: Ultimate Urban Playground; San Francisco.

You’ll want to watch the video full-screen. It’s 100% pure awesome.

Rally driver Ken Block is known for producing viral videos. Block's video features a new style of driving called Gymkhana.

Uploaded to YouTube last week, it has received 21,232,525 views.

Gymkhana World Tour will be in L.A. on July 23

Quote:
Gymkhana is a type of motorsport practiced in an increasing number of countries. Similar to autocross, gymkhana courses are often very complex and memorizing the course is a significant part of achieving a fast time.

In a muffin pan....

Chocolate chip cookie dough topped with a mini Reese's topped with brownie mix until 3/4 full.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 18 minutes.

I'm doing this tonight, but not for me. Got a bake sale coming up. Found this easy recipe and thought I'd try it. Doesn't that sound heavenly, though?

I remember a time when I could turn on the History Channel and not see a 100 hour block of that dumb ass show Pawn Stars. "Reality" (staged) shows suck balls.

I think I'm going out for roller derby next month. I miss skating (used to compete), and this will be great exercise! They also do a lot of volunteer work, which I love.

You need to read a book called Impact by Douglas Preston.

In two years I've gone from planning on law school, to graduate school for English, to currently attending another college for a second bachelors in journalism. I don't think il ever get a good job in the latter field.

Why college was a mistake? I left HS with a 2.4 GPA. I would've been so much better off had I worked a job for 2 years or so versus college for 5 (and now looking like 1 1/2 extra) years with practically zero job experience and only an English degree to show for it.

The simple fact that you give a shit speaks volumes...there are some stupid people out there making a shit ton of money. Foster your personal network...LinkedIn is a good tool.

It's all about having it on paper. The fact that you have degree(s) will pay off handsomely for you one day. It might not be "easy", or exactly what you planned on, but you'll get there.

Just last weekend I tried making homemade tiramisu from scratch for the first time, whipped the cream and everything. It was KILLER. Just like a restaurant.

I know it's not easy. Nothing worth doing is.

But it's really a pecker slap to the face when your friends are getting good jobs and maybe even getting good paydays, while I'm still in school studying for a very insecure job field all because I was dumb enough to "study what you are interested in" in college versus doing what was smart and finding a career path that is secure.

Pretty much I should repost this in the parenting advice thread.
