Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Current list includes
12 gauge shotgun
9mm pistol
22lr rifle
What would be your next purchase and or purchases? Would you put a .22 Magnum next over a, say 5.56, .308, 6.5 Creedmore???
What say you all???
I see an error in my post. I already have those that I have listed. I currently own a Panzer AR-12 that I use for HD. I have multiple 10 round magazines with 00 buck and slugs. I have a Glock 17 with a Burris Fastfire optic and a Ruger 10-22. So based on this information what would be your next purchase/purchases?

I’m kind of in love with the platform. If you want a 308 I’d get an AR10.

I have a little 8” 9MM on an AR platform that takes Glock magazines that is probably my favorite gun to shoot.

Probably start with an AR 15. Palmetto State Armory has solid really affordable rigs.

If I were starting from scratch I’d probably get an AR 15 with a 10.5” barrel and a pistol brace and then work on getting a tax stamp for a SBR.

That’s what I really want but it’s hard to go that direction when I already have a 556 in 16”. And by that I mean it’s hard to convince the wife.
AR-10 in the 308 is an expensive platform, at least that perks my purchase reflex.

Palmetto has their AK $270 off. I’ve never shot any of the PSA guns, but the reviews I’ve seen are positive. Plus at 649, it’s probably at least worth a try.

My understanding is 5.56 NATO allows you to do the same thing.

If you're patient, just check out the Palmetto State Armory daily deals. Eventually, they trot out their PA-308 (AR platform chambered in .308) for around $800-$1100.

Iterations vary, but it usually has Magpul furniture, M-Lok attach, free-float stainless barrel, and flat-top Picatinny rail.

I bought this one back when they were $700.

I would buy in this order

Ar-15. 556 chambered so you can shoot .223 or 556

1911 45 pistol

Ar-10 308 chambered. So you can shoot 308 or 7.62

22 pistol for plinking

357 revolver. So you can shoot 38 special and 357

Depending on how much you shoot. With ammo prices that 22 pistol might be at the top of your list.

Yeah. I’d really like to have one. My BIL has one, I don’t remember the type, but it is a nice ass gun and will reach out a long way.

Smith and Wesson Ar-10 is cheap. I personal own one and don't have a bad word to say about it. Never had a jam. Barely kicks and shoots were I point it.

After researching them, that's a decent deal, so I said what the hell and pulled the trigger. I'll just toss it in the gun safe with the other ones and take it out and shoot it next spring.

Hell yeah. Let me know. Nephew wants one but knowing his dumbass he probably wants a Russian one or some shit. He actually got an AR from Armalite. Had to have it that way.

Whatever. He sold me his old one several years before that for dirt ****ing cheap and it’s a good gun. And then after he ordered the Armalite one he bought a different one because shit was getting real on the panic buy front so he bought that one while he was waiting and sold it for too cheap too.

He has gun ADD.

Either way you didn’t sign up for a dumbass nephew story but I’m glad you found one.

Didn't realize the price of guns had gone up so much too. Bought a Ruger Mark 4 Hunter and it's about $250 up from what I bought it for.
