Let's Talk About the Eagles (Super Bowl 59 Discussion)

We're headed back to the Ship and will try to be the first team to 3-peat in Super Bowl history!!! Chiefs open up as 1.5 favorites over the Eagles.

Discuss.

Yeah cooked is the wrong term. Fangio 100% slowed Mahomes down at times, but the offense never had the firepower to take advantage of it.

While Saquon is a huge add, the reason our defense struggled against Philly in the 1st SB was Hurts threat to run or pass.

His mobility is far worse and could allow Spags more options than selling out to stop the run as much as last time.

Am I crazy or is that the best top-to-bottom WR group Mahomes has ever had going into a Super Bowl?

Fangio also was a consultant for the 49ers defense last year in the Super Bowl, who did successfully slow us down for a good 3 quarters.

And just think, his best WR is on the DL.

I might give the edge to:

Hill
Watkins
Hardman
D Rob

Watkins was good in the postseason his first two years here.

Because the Eagles O Line, Hurts running and their weapons could absolutely possess the ball and take 10 minutes off the clock before scoring.

I'm pretty sure Hurts doesn't even run as fast as Stroud these days, he is not nearly the dual threat that Allen or Lamar is right now.

Gotta defend the outside RPO's. Even with the injuries, Hurts is dangerous on the edge when there's nobody in front of him.

I was on playing Thuney inside team at the start of the playoffs. But no ****ing way you do it now.

You rode Thuney at LT to the super bowl. You have to go with it for better or worst.

You can’t ask for much more than this. You never get an easy opponent in the Super Bowl.

Chiefs have the QB advantage, Coach advantage, and health advantage.

I’ll take my chances with that.

If you lose because Thuney is at LT, it’s an easy decision to defend.

If you lose because Humphries is at LT, that’s really really hard to defend.
