Fair enough.

But he’s 28, has a career ERA of 5.15 and a WHIP of 1.42 in 334 career innings pitched, so I’d argue his early start to the season (minus the Dodgers game) is not the norm for him.

Coming into this year, Feltner was my favorite out of the Rockies pitchers outside of Dollander, who has a chance to be one of their best hurlers in franchise history.

Those stats mean almost nothing to me. It's almost impossible to judge Rockies pitchers on stats without adjusting them.

Ubaldo Jimenez, Pedro Astacio, Jeff Francis, German Marquez, Kyle Freeland, Aaron Cook -- all of their best pitchers in team history have ugly ERAs save for a few Jimenez seasons.

I get the ‘Coors effect’ on the ERA, but his career WHIP (1.42) is pretty damn high, which means he allows a LOT of baserunners.
