To be honest, reading this forum at times and peoples feelings about Reid in past years when he would lose in the playoffs made me think that KC fans are no better than Philly fans when they forget what it's like to lose.
Is Reid the perfect coach? Heck no. He can screw up like anyone of them. However, I do find it a rare combination in a coach where players genuinely like to play for the coach and the coach wins, particulary in professional sports where it's strictly business and people become millionaires by playing a game. Anyone can root for a winning team. Funny thing about winning, I have long ago left my "home" state of Pennsylvania, and I now get a kick out of all the Eagles hats and shirts I now see south of the Mason Dixon line AFTER they won the superbowl. I can still remember going to Veterans staduim rooting for Bill Bergy in the 70's and never imagining the Birds every winning a superbowl. Last edited by Joe; 02-04-2020 at 07:38 AM.. |
