Deshaun Watson donates first gamecheck

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...rricane-harvey
I know people have their opinions on his talent, but seems like a solid dude. After the awesome things JJ Watt did for hurricane relief, this is a pretty nice little follow-up.

Maybe he'll be a great game manager some day. That's the best I can see for him.
I've heard people call him noodled armed over and over and it's extremely exaggerated.

That ball travels over 60 yards in the air.

That's adequate arm strength to be a good NFL QB. You guys act like nobody can succeed without a Jeff George cannon arm. I dunno if he pans out, but he won't flame out for lack of arm. He's a LONG way from Chad Pennington.

Throwing velocity. Under 50 MPH.

That's noodle-armed. And it won't work well for him.

It's fine if you're a deadly accurate mid-range thrower. Chad Pennington was deadly accurate. Deshaun Watson is not.

Give me Chad Pennington over Watson any day.

it's working fine so far. There's almost no frame of reference for historical QB's and velocity measured in MPH. Stabler won a lot of games and his arm was a super-noodle. Watson's balls are a bit floaty (lol), but good anticipation can compensate for that. "I don't throw darts at balloons, I throw balloons at darts."

Let's be real... the folks on this site have been about as accurate with QB prospects as a drunk guy trying to piss through a cheerio.

You can increase arm strength. Aaron Rodgers did it. McNabb did too.

Also, Tom Brady.

You can't even compare his arm in 2002 to what it's become.

Watson's arm isn't an issue.

He's going to be a badass. He has "it."

I'm happy with the Chiefs taking Mahomes over Watson. Though I do like Watson. But what the **** were the Browns thinking when they traded out of a pick to get him?

I said before the Browns' GM seems like the same guy as Chris Grant (Cavs GM who drafted Anthony Bennett and Dion Waiters in the top 3). Maybe too clever for his own good. Almost trying to arrogantly prove he can win football games the Moneyball way by proving you're smarter than all the scouts. After watching Deshonne Kiser, if Watson has "it" I just don't see that in Kiser. He looks like a QB just going through the motions.

Yeah, but it's the Browns.

I liked Kizer coming out, but he's screwed.

Watson is the big winner for them not picking him. No way he'd perform like this in that QB graveyard called Cleveland.
