How Excited or Not ..Are You??

The guys at work are kind of meh about the upcoming playoff game. They say if we play Pitt we will lose. Out of 3 people I talk to about our chances 2 out of 3 say we won't win at home!
I think more excitement will build when we know who we play. Personally I'm very excited and don't care who we play.. more worried about stopping the run and if Houstons knee is healthy enough for him to be a factor.

I think the ass whoopin we took from Pittsburgh earlier in the year was a blessing in disquise. Our players ain't goin there again ! I wish the game was today I'm so pumped. And if we lose it's been a really satisfying year anyway with raping the division , the Donkeys in disarray and the drafting of 2 damn good players.

My mantra all year has been 'if it's easy, it ain't worth shit.'

So I'm ready to make it to the SB the hard way, if necessary. It would be great to default our way in facing the Texans and Dolphins, but Steelers and Patriots is way more realistic, and in the end more satisfying, if a little more butt puckering in the moment.

As painful as the Bucs and Tits games were, I'll take 'shitting the bed' over being overmatched all day long.

You can rebound from shitting the bed. Every day is a new day. Harder to rebound from being an inferior team across the board.

It's a far better team than last year's version with Jason Avant, Knile Davis and Frankie Hammond getting playing time.
I took a lot of flack for questioning if a QB is the most important position in the history of sporting competition. Doubling down, I'd say if there's a single most important position on the team, it's director of player personnel. One dude with the inside track to assembling the whole magilla. 'The watchmaker' if you indulge my extension of the metaphor.

That team had something special-and so does this year's team. Maybe I am just fooling myself because I want them to win it so bad- but I am positive we Will win it all. This is our year.
We were in the front row in the endzone right where the receiver caught the ball... Was it Tim Barnett??? It was 4th down after a amazing blocked kick by Keith Cash..

Yeah, I mean that's the playoffs in any sport. You can't win anything of meaning if you don't beat anyone of meaning. (I always laugh when my fellow KU fans cry about the March bracket we get - it's supposed to be full of hard teams dummies!)

Still though, I'd rather be in the NFC. I'd feel we have a chance because Dallas or ATL aren't the colossus NE is. Just feels a bit hopeless, but Sagarin's point spread of us in NE is still under a TD.

I couldn't be more excited. I just wish Jamaal was healthy and active. Would've been great if he was part of this team.

I'd say the tournament is a little different because the number and frequency of the games can make attaining a championship more a war of attrition than the NFL where you have time and opportunity to enter each contest at relatively full rest and strength.
