ChiefsPlanet Football for Dummies
Inspired by some of the great posts i've been reading today, i thought it would be a great idea to copy a concept i've seen used on some automotive forums i visit.

Why not have one thread (that should be stickied) that contains the vast collective knowledge of CP regarding all things football?

i.e schemes/philosophies, terms etc. I think it would be a great resource for people, like myself to nail down a real good, solid understanding of the inner workings of football.

This thread should be devoted to learning from each other, not fighting with each other. I've learned a lot from CP, and would like to learn more.

Well, in my case, I'm not sharing any real, actual football knowledge because I don't have any real, actual football knowledge.

I do, however, know a little bit about Zombie Turtles and, to be honest, that's really the priority issue about which we should be concerned. The off-season will take care of itself, but the Zombie Turtle problem requires action ... and lots of it. Any idea how many turtles there are in the world? Well, I do. There are lots. I have a Madden question. Can the 2009 Chiefs play the 2008 Chiefs in Madden?

Hail Mary: Generally a last gasp pass thrown from somewhere north of the 50 yard line so that your taller WRs can jump up and catch it. You'll note that this can sometimes be thrown from nearer 30 yards out if your QB is a talentless system QB; it is highly recommended that this throw NOT hit the crossbar, however.
