(Way too early) 2025 Round 1 Chiefs Targets

With the football season kicking off soon, I’m curious to know which positions we will target, and who the players are at those positions that we should be watching.

What say you?

2. LB Smael Mondon, Jr., Georgia
3. CB Will Lee III, Texas A&M
3. DT T.J. Sanders, South Carolina
4. WR Tai Felton, Maryland
5. DE Tyler Batty, BYU
6. WR Jaylin Noel, Iowa State

It’s gonna depend on what happens with Trey Smith and how they feel about Hollywood Brown but I think they undoubtedly need to get a DL in the first rd also with corner in mind.

I think LB is also high on the list. Very glad we have what should be a top
70 pick.

I'm guessing you could get Hollywood cheap one more time.

I am very high on Worthy right now, Rice is probably getting suspended next year so you probably want a vet and another draft pick to round out the WR room.

Hollywood and then a more developmental rookie would be fine by me.

I think I mentioned this elsewhere, but if Kelce is open with them about 2025 being his final season, there's probably cap to go pay a big veteran (with a 1st year small cap hit) but I don't know what would make sense there.

Lot of options on what to add to this offense, anything could work really.

I’ve been keeping my eye on rb’s. Not necessarily first rounders. But then I came across a certain Ashton Jeanty. And oh my god. 5’9 215. 845 rushing yards with 13 tds in 4 games. And just take a look from his most recent game against Wazzu

Yeah, I've had my eye on him after some tinkering on the mock draft games but after seeing the season he's having there's near zero chance he falls to the bottom of the 1st IMO. Dude's having a Barry Sanders'esque season.

Depends on what happens in FA with Trey, Hollywood, etc.

I think their first rd pick needs to be a pass rusher. If one is not available then we need a corner. Ideally those are the first 2 picks.

Then possibly a new G to replace Trey. Very tempted to use one of those 3 high picks on a very good RB in this class who can pass catch really well. Imagine a Achane in this offense? We need it badly

Agree that we won't be able to get him. I like Iowa's Kaleb Johnson and we won't have to use a first day pick to get him.

A great class of RBs this year. I had mentioned these in the 2024 draft discussion:

https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...&postcount=116

Most are all having great years again. Singleton, Hampton, and Jeanty stand out so far.

Good lord. That is staggering. Completely forgot Ollie was eligible. And I’m not a KU fan by any means, but Devin Neal can play.

Henderson has got to have big time regrets. Not only because Judkins came in, but just being a part of this class.

I’m not too upset about missing out on Jaylen Wright anymore

He'll drop because of the fear of being overused like Jonathan Taylor.

Guys, I don’t see Jeantry getting to the 2nd half of the 1st.

Like Gibbs, he’ll be a borderline top 10 pick.
