Seems like Byron would be young, but he was an older senior when he came to us and then he sat out on IR for his first year. He is 28 years old and will turn 29 during the 2022 season.

I would gladly have taken him back though.

Byron Pringle – 2021 – Age 28, 17 games, 42 catches, 568 yards, 5 TDs, 70.0% catch rate.

Good luck to him!

Wow, that surprises me. I would've guessed 26 or something.

I hate to lose the guy. He was always reliable for us.

Byron returned 25 kicks this year for 621 yards.

He had 49% of offensive snaps and 31% of special team snaps.

I prefer Hardman's focus is on receiving and maybe punts. Chiefs will need someone to return kickoffs next year.

At least now the Chiefs will be forced to address WR more than with just a Cornell Powell-caliber move… one would think?

The Chiefs had a need at WR before losing Pringle.

good for him, that's a good chunk of change for someone who finally started seeing time on offense. WR outside of Hill and Hardman is looking rough for us right now. Gotta get some middle of the road free agent or hit on multiple draft picks.

way too much gloom and doom going on because we haven't made any crazy moves. Got a good safety and resigned a few depth guys. We still have 4 top 103 draft picks, hit on 3 of those and we good. There's still guys out there we could sign in free agency that could help without breaking the bank too. And Veach has shown he's willing to make trades during the season when it's needed.

We also haven't had a top 20 pick since we traded up for Mahomes, the rest of the AFC pretty much all has. That's the downside to being a perennial winner. Do we still have Mahomes? yup. Do we still have the best receiving duo in history? yup. We still have a badass offensive line? yup. All we really need is a couple of decent receivers, an edge rusher and another CB and we good.
