Mayfield is young, he has that going for him, but he hasn't proven anything. Denver should have drafted Allen rather than Chubb, that's really the glaring mistake out of all this related to QB decisions.

And while the majority of the focus is on Wilson and what he brings... I think the RB duo of Williams/Gordon will be the driving force of what defines their success. Those two are game changers and worked well last year, so I have all the confidence in the world they will combine for greater production this season which will do great things for Wilson and the receivers.

Denver got great deals on QBs for years. Flacco and Bridgewater were similar draft pick compensation to Mayfield in Carolina, and Keenum was "pennies on the dollar for a starting QB" or some shit or whatever.
I don't think waiting for Mayfield to come aboard would have been a wise move. |

Oof. I had forgotten we traded for Flacco and Bridgewater, not signed them as FAs. Those were both horrible moves.

Flacco was one of the worst decisions ever, yes well ahead of Keenum.

The plan was to put it on Rodgers back. It's on Moob's sternocleidomastoid now

Fans will lose patience with the "well, at least the score was close" around week 9...losing Fant, Harris and Miller didn't exactly strengthen an already weak roster. Luckily, you get some bottom feeders through the first 8 weeks... It's post-season or bust this year...just being "better" doesn't justify the cost...you could have been simply better by signing Ryan, keeping your picks/players. There was a lot of cheap talent at #10 this year...and into the top of the 2nd. |

Hey we've made some pretty bad moves ourselves, the one that sticks out is Ryan Sims as the #4 overall draft pick; different from a trade, but equally disappointing

File 'em all under "failed" and move on. I mean, when I drop a deuce, I don't look to see which was the biggest turd... I just flush and move on.

If I adjust his 33 receptions to match Hill's 87.....his numbers are actually better. They both would have 15 TDs...his 40+ yard receptions (which he was already better with 6/tied for tops in the NFL) balloons to 15 compared to Hill's 5. His 20+ yard reception come in at 26 compared to Hills 20. Pretty amazing he is the at top of this list with only 33 receptions...and 6 of those being 40+ yards. Take a look who is immediately under him...might explain why he was underutilized. I'm going to laugh my ass off when KC doesn't skip a beat...and picked up 5 draft picks. Veach went after him for a reason. Last edited by BlackOp; 07-07-2022 at 06:17 PM.. |
