He was 19th in YPC...look out Chiefs. 29 RBs faced a stacked box more often than Williams...that says your OL sucked and he had to break the most tackles in the NFL just to get to 19th. That was playing a last place schedule too...
That's a not a promising stat if the Doinks plan to live off play-action. It's where Wilson makes his money...teams weren't worried about your running game and nothing has changed for 2022. Seattle was actually a better rushing teams than the Donks and had better WRs.... "Williams was 22nd among qualifiers in average yards per carry (19th among running backs). He faced stacked boxes (8 or more defenders) on 20.7 percent of his carries which was 30th among 52 qualifying running backs." Last edited by BlackOp; 07-01-2022 at 12:27 AM.. |

Believe I've asked this before, but ... considering Williams is the topic here and last year he was a rookie, I would believe you're discussing 2021 season. Yeah?
Seattle averaged about 2.9 rushing YPG on average over 17 games. SEA closed out strong with 2 games combining for 400+ rushing yards. SEA had 18 TDS rushing compared to 16... seems pretty similar.

Also, Denver sucked ass just like Seattle. (7-10 vs 7-10)

Using their last two games as an excuse...you could take out the Donks two best rushing games too. Stats don't work that way... My point was Williams led the NFL in broken tackles yet only ranked 19th in YPC...that seems to indicate he was having to earn it. I like Williams...probably your best offensive prospect on the donks. He just got drafted by a team that hasn't had a decent OL in over a decade. If the Donks dont have a top 10 rushing game in 2022, they wont make the post-season....not with that OL. They were 27th in pass protection. Wilson isnt Rodgers...as his mobility is declining. You all are hoping you are getting Wilson in his prime...but are missing some key elements from those successful Seahawk teams. You didn't have a single pro-bowler last year...Donks need more than just a top 10 QB. Last edited by BlackOp; 07-01-2022 at 11:09 AM.. |

Clearly, this is a duo that can produce and with better coaching and an actual QB, their production will increase. Williams will see an increase in his workload and he's a more productive receiver than Gordon. By the way, Williams was 18th in YPC ... your stat rank included Josh Allen. You know, Rashaad Penny had 6.3 YPC and topped the NFL. When you sort the rankings by RBs with more than 200 carries and then YPC - you see the real story. Both Gordon and Williams were 15 and 16 in carries over 200. THEN, you look at the YPC rankings for guys with more than 200 carries and only Taylor, Cook, Chubb, Harris and Mitchell top them in YPC. So, Gordon and Williams were 6th and 7th in YPC for RBs with more than 200 carries. Looks better when you view it from a workload comparison. Piss all over 2021 however you like, it's gone. Wilson, Williams, Gordon, Sutton, Patrick, Jeudy, Hamler... they have the makings of a consistently solid offense.

I've heard a lot of talk about the talent difference in QBs between the AFC and NFC, but the difference in RBs is stark as well. 4 AFC RBs outperformed the best NFC RB, and that's with Derrick Henry missing half the year, so it probably should have been 5.

But, if you do have the elite QB and elite running game, things can get spooky. Just look at the late 90's Broncos and Rams, the 2004 Colts, the 2018 Chiefs and the 2022 Broncos. |
