All of this hype is tethered to "potential" ..it lives and dies with a QB with one WC win in the past 5 years... and a first time coaching staff implementing a new system.

What could go wrong?

You better hope...because the team you see in 2022 will likely be the same if not worse in 2023.

You just inherited what will likely be a top 5 QB contract...and Chubb will need to get paid....no 1st/2nd rounder to offset these expenses with cheap talent.

The problem is Wilson's contract will be short and likely guaranteed....so there isn't a realistic way to push his cap hit forward.

How exactly do you foresee improving your team...hitting on 3rd rounders is about the best you can hope for. Will they have any money left to to land any top FAs?

Can’t imagine that was me, specifically. Wilson is the first Broncos QB I’ve been excited about since Manning.

The Broncos cap is in pretty good shape. They haven't been mortgaging the future lately so they can make anything they want to happen, happen.

The team is pretty much set too. The Broncos will probably try to get a long-term deal done with Chubb or DreMont Jones during the season and then tag the other guy if they deserve it. DreMont will probably be the priority because Denver has a ton of depth at edge and very little on the interior of the DL.

The only long-term issue Denver has on their roster is RT, but they can plug in a veteran until 2024 and be alright.

Wilson is a decent QB and there is a reason why he was worth the picks Denver gave up. Homers here think he sucks but GM's who work in the NFL think differently then them.

Wilson is 104-53-1 in his career and has been in the playoff 8 out of 10 years. Last year was a down year for him but maybe some new scenery will do him some good. He could continue a downward slide but I would expect him to play better then anything Denver has had since Manning.

They had zero pro bowlers last year. ZERO!! Russ is gonna change all that?

Yeah, Dungkeys are set. Set with ZERO PB players, Bustly Chubb wanting to get paid, 3 career TD Jeudy, no draft picks in the first 2 rounds for years, a quarterback who’s gonna want a fat contract, and a GM who’s had less than stellar drafts. They’re set all right!!!

You realize they are paying Wilson about $15 - $20 million below market price?

Wilson inst playing this year for $24 million...and definitely not for $27 million in 2023.

That's going to eat your available cap in a hurry....
