OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Not a choke to lose in a Super Bowl when they were 12 point favorites?

You are probably right. Almost all QBs start to fall off at 35 or 36. Everyone but Brady. Brady is such a bad athlete that it didn't really make any difference.

So what happened in 2007? Tommy took the "greatest team ever" to battle vs a much, much weaker team than this Eagles squad. Brady scored twice. Here are the rest of his possessions:

3 and out.
3 and out (-14 yds).
Fumble.
Turnover on downs.
Punt.
Punt.
Turnover on downs (-10 yds).

1 TD, 5 sacks, 5.5 avg.

You'd think a GOAT, armed with the greatest team ever assembled, would find a way to beat an average Giants team. Especially when his defense shut down their offense.

A few years later, Brady got a chance to redeem himself, facing an even weaker Giants team (that barely slipped into the playoffs). Surely he didn't piss down his leg in the rematch, right?

Why didn't His GOATness make the playoffs in '02? Why couldn't he overcome getting beaten down in the wildcard/divisional rounds 4 times? Mahomes' earliest loss is in OT of the AFC title game.

Why did the GOAT get smacked around by QBs like Jake Plummer, Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez, Ryan Tannehill, Joe Flacco (twice), and swept by Eli Manning?

Explain.

Brady was definitely gifted with playing much easier opposition, in terms of opposing QB’s throughout most of his career in the AFC playoffs, compared to Mahomes.

Check out the opposing QB’s who Brady played against in the AFC Playoffs:

Rich Gannon
Kordell Stewart
Steve McNair
Jake Plummer
Ben Roethlisberger
Peyton Manning
Byron Leftwich
David Garrard
Phillip Rivers
Tim Tebow
Marcus Mariota
Blake Bortles
Andrew Luck
Alex Smith
Matt Schaub
Patrick Mahomes
Ryan Tannehill
Brock Osweiler
Joe Flacco
Mark Sanchez

Only Manning, Roethlisberger, Mahomes… and maybe Luck/Rivers are elite from that list.

Contrast that with Mahomes who has faced Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, or Lamar Jackson during each of his playoff runs.

We don't know how Thomas would of handled a bad Super Bowl loss(he's trash). Probably just quit & end his career. You opened the box, I just widened the flaps
