The bitter Faketriots fans whose team is so bad currently that they have nothing better to do than frantically cling to Brady’s fading legacy… don’t qualify as a “football landscape”.

He’s only started 7 years

And he’s much further than where Brady was at his age.

After the Patriots won it twice in a row, didn't it take an entire decade for Tom Brady to win another one?

That's ridiculous. Brady went back-to-back once and didn't get to the third to even attempt the 3peat. He also didn't make 5 SBs in his first 7 years. Brady lost many playoff games to shit QB's and the 3 SBs he lost were also not to even great QB''s. Foles was backup QB even. Mahomes has yet to do that, and he's got 10 more years and nobody knows what will happen.

Mahomes first 7 years as a starter are by far better than Bradys in every stat. Brady's first 3 all won with FG's. Mahomes took over and got TDs for 2. and let's not forget the teams cheating. That eliminates GOAT status in my book for him and Bill. We know for a fact now that the NFL buried that mess as fast as possible and destroyed and entire library at Foxborough of video tapes and other team playbooks.

Mahomes also has to play in a much harder division. Brady was gifted a playoff spot every year. If Mahomes gets to 5 there's a debate and if he goes back-to-back again it's over, he's past him but he's already past him in my book. His career is clean. Bradys isn't.

The “football landscape” circa 2011.

Tom brady put up a whopping 1 Td performance his entire first postseason then missed the playoffs the next year.

You can’t really compare the two after their first 7. Mahomes blows him out of the water

Tom Brady was very good for his era.

Not mobile or athletic enough for the current NFL. You would need to keep an absolutely stacked OL around him and that would take away from his defense (which he depended on to win).

It’s a dumb argument. Let’s let’s worry about Pat being Pat, and talk about comparing his complete body of work when he retires. It’s like someone showing you a half finished painting, and asking if you think it’ll look like a Rembrandt when it’s complete.

The media is going off because of how he lost the 2 SB's and that is their base argument of never being GOAT. It's stupid. They put it all on him. More proof that playoff games don't matter. Brady played crappy in many playoff games and lost but nobody cares and nobody blamed him.

Mahomes just isn't loved by most of the media, but Brady is for sure. Joe and Allen are loved and never at fault for anything. Even Jackson taking massive heat, but Hurts never does. Baker and Justin even get more love and a pass.

I don't get it. 5 SB trips in his first 7. 3 SB wins, 3 SB MVPs, 2 NFL MVPs.

32,352 yards, 245 TD's, 89-23 record, 102.1 QBR. Those stats are better than any QBs first 7 starting years. Also, his winning percentage when down by double digits is 57.6%. That is way higher than any other QB ever.

Can't be the GOAT ever? That's insanely stupid.

I’m no Brady apologist. But the guy has more rings than any franchise. It’s stupid talking points that can’t be compared until Mahomes retires.

Mahomes simply has accomplished more than any other QB in the history of the sport thru his first 7 years and it is not debatable...Mahomes is the first 7 year GOAT!!!! Someone please state otherwise...you cannot deny that PM15 has the greatest start to his career the first 7 years in the history of the sport - by a long, long ways too!!! Long live PM15...long live the GOAT!!

Oh, and the best LT money can buy, and some explosive receivers.

Easy peasy?
Well, aside from the top 10 defensive linemen, what’s stopping them from doing all those things? The Eagles managed to pay Hurts and still also paid several o-lineman, both his superstar receivers, his top flight TE and landed him an MVP caliber RB. The only thing stopping the Chiefs from doing those things is they won’t play the void year game like Philly will.

To be clear, I’m not a fan of this strategy and think it’s bullshit. I don’t even think it should be legal. That said, it’s going to be hard to keep up with the teams that are willing to use it. I can guarantee you Denver is about to load up like you’ve never seen with Nix on his rookie deal. Payton smells blood and is about to go for the throat. We could barely beat them this year, just imagine if they add 5-6 more supremely talented players this offseason.

It’s going to get a lot harder to expect Mahomes to keep up when he’s simply outmanned week after week, especially with Kelce basically done. He needs a RB and he needs a LT. No expense should be spared to get him those things this offseason. The best you can find, even if you have to overpay a little. That’s all I’m saying.

As long as the owner won't jump into the deep end of the pool (Void Year game), the general manager, head coach, and quarterback will be essentially bringing a knife to a gun fight. But the amazing thing is they have managed to win 2 rings in the last 3 years, and they had a more successful season this year than 30 other teams in the league...even though quite a few other teams have been spending a lot more money (thanks to Void Years) over the last few seasons. The Forty Whiners, Cleveland, Buffalo, Baltimore, Detroit, NY Jets, even the Houston Texans...all of them have nothing to show for all that big money spending and cap manipulation. Pretty funny. The Eagles have one ring and one conference title, but also an embarrassing blowout loss in the Wild Card round with a stacked roster.
