We beat Baltimore before with Mahomes and an elite offense.

We no longer have that so assuming we can just score at will is now over.

We have no reason to be scared of a QB with 10 TD passes.

Their D is a horrible matchup for our offense where we have one weapon that has to be accounted for.

Agreed. The Chiefs defense can be awesome and yet games are still close if the offense cannot score.

In the last three games, the Chiefs offense scored 7 second half points. Combined! You're not blowing anyone out if you stop scoring for an entire half. The Dolphins game should have been a blowout if the offense was halfway competent after halftime.

That's true of every defense. The Chargers defense made adjustments at halftime and shut the Chiefs down. The Broncos had success for both games.

Both the Chargers and Broncos are supposed to have terrible defenses. You don't need to mention how the Ravens defense matches up well. The Chiefs are relatively easy to defend right now. Double or triple Kelce and dare the Chiefs to run. Play man coverage against the WRs if you don't fear them.

When you lead with your defense and ask your QB to manage the game you are asking for the game to come down to a few plays at the end.

That's how we have to win now.

I would rather Baltimore get knocked out before we ever have to play them, rather play anyone else, even Bengals.

Mahomes having to be a game manager is the toughest test of his career.

He's not Alex Smith. Not wired that way. He's always looking to make plays. Sometimes he's holding the ball too long or taking chances into coverage.

Ravens are gonna have a hell of a time against our defense. Their passing offense is the most overrated aspect of any team in the AFC IMO.

Lamar isn't going against Hitchens and Ragland anymore. He's going against real LB's with plus athleticism that can tackle. And Spags will eviscerate Lamar on obvious passing 3rd downs.

Ravens defense is good but their sacks are mostly coming from LB blitzes. Even this year you know that you can't blitz Mahomes. It just doesn't work.

I'm not worried about the Ravens compared to the Bills or Bengals

Ravens still have 9ers, Dolphins, Jags, Chargers, Bengals and Steelers on the schedule.

You're more worried about the Bills than the Ravens?

They have no corners and their safeties are almost in the nursing home.

Let's not forget that no one knows what any team's roster will look like in January. Injuries will happen to key players. We're talking about hypothetical matchups of teams that will inevitably look different when those games occur with players missing.

Right now I'm more worried about the Chiefs offense than what talent the opposition has.

But we also had an average at best defense. We don't now. KC has an elite defense capable of picking up the slack when the offense struggles.

Ok, we will see how it plays out but what we did back in the day to Baltimore is out the window because we no longer can score whenever we want.

I would rather trust Mahomes in the final minute of a playoff game than punting and playing defense but we are where we are now.
