Tricking their fans into believing the Wilson hype...THIS is what that move was really about.

What do think that asking price would be with Lock in a division with Herbert/Mahomes? $500 million+ less? Fan/media interest was waning. Pretty shrewd business move...selling the farm for a name brand QB before a sale. What's a few drafts worth of capital when you arent going to be owning the team in a few months.

Dine and ditch....

Why would the trust care what the Broncos are sold for? They don't get any of it.

This is the real collateral damage from the Wilson deal...heading into the 2023 season.

Chiefs
Mahomes + three 1st round picks & four 2nd picks...providing the financial flexibility to navigate FA with a top QB salary.

Donks
Wilson and introducing a $40+ million a year hit...watching their main rival add 7 top (cheap) picks before they choose.

The cheapest part of Mahomes' deal is over with. In fact, Mahomes is going to count $82.5M on your cap over the next two years while Russ will only count $51M on our cap over the next two years. Any extension that Russ signs in Denver will be tacked on to his current contract, and will most likely be backloaded so Russ will still count less than Mahomes will on the cap for at least the next 4 years.

It's a good thing you guys have so many picks over the next few years. You guys need them, desperately. Too bad KC's roster is riddled with holes and they still won't have enough picks to address them all.

Completely delusional. You clearly have zero understanding of the benefits of the Mahomes contract, where the Chiefs roster stands, and their cap situation going forward.

Russell Wilson is 33 years old.

You go ahead and enjoy that drop off from his prime while he's on a backloaded extension.

I'll enjoy the Mahomes contract, thank you very much.

Even with Mahomes cap number the Chiefs still have more cap room than Denver in 2023

The Broncos don’t have a top tier player on their roster except the strong possibility of Patrick Surtain. Add to that fact Chubb and Jeudy have been massive busts so far.

So headcount here:

Coaching-KC
QB-KC
More top tier players-KC
Cap space-KC
Early draft picks-KC

What did I miss here?

That third comparison can’t be right.

You’re missing all the Donkos Pro Bowlers and All Pros. Just ask KnowMo. Their roster is elite!

I mean.... not to mess up your awesome post. It’s so close, but you did leave out one teensy weensy category...

The league’s most sacked quarterback, behind yet another piss poor OL. What could possibly go wrong? One Bolton hit on Russack WilsINT and Blowmo will be pimping, whoever their backup quarterback is... then.... POOF.... he’ll disappear until he returns from the land of make believe after the season ends. That OL is gonna get WilsINT KILLED!!
