This team was not better than the ‘22 team and last year’s defense was better, albeit this year’s defense was still pretty damn good.

It’s been 2 years of mediocre offense…it should never look like this, I’m sorry…I’m not changing my mind.

I get we won the Super Bowl last year but that offense was a tire fire for 99% of the year.

Now you could say injuries derailed it this year….well that’s why you don’t depend on a guy who’s been chronically injured his entire career to be your #2 WR and have a little more impact at the RB spot. That’s not even factoring in what a colossal dumpster fire the line was.

15-1 is great, no one is remembering that after this game.

We had some extraordinary breaks in Super Bowl 58 and truly benefitted from some dogshit playcalling and coaching from Kyle Shanahan.

We apologize for none of that, of course, but Kyle shit himself in a very winnable game. Our offense was dead to rights in the first three quarters of that game and Kyle had a 10-6 lead to show for it.

Today we were down 34-6 around the same time.

Rigged. Chiefs threw the game. Looked depressed with no energy before the game. Same as Tampa game as if they knew. Mahomes dirting balls for no reason on easy passes. Blatant bullshit calls and no calls on Chiefs because of all of the whining in the press, etc. It was bullshit

I wouldn't say they forgot, but things just didn't work out. Tried to get Trent Williams, who used the Chiefs to squeeze more money from the Niners.

The gamble on Jawaan Taylor at Right Tackle compared to Orlando Brown at Left Tackle? It didn't work out like they hoped. Wanya & Kingsley weren't able to perform like Veach/Andy hoped, which is not shocking for rookie type of players.

And then you end up with a Left Guard playing Left Tackle, which leads to a backup guy playing Left Guard. Messy combo there and it caught up to them. Kind of amazing they managed to win a Conference Title this year with 4 different guys playing Left Tackle.

Truth is Travis Kelce is no longer the best player on the field. That is the big equalizer IMO. So perhaps you are right but this offense is better than last year IMO because we didn't just completely suck on short yardage. And vs the '22 team we had better WR weapons...but alas a much weaker/older Kelce.

I think the defenses the last couple years were very comparable.
2022 - 21.7 ppg - 16th
2023 - 17.3 ppg - 2nd
2024 - 19.2 ppg - 4th...but without the fake 38-0 Denver game would have been 2nd.

Well we don't have unlimited resources and veach drafted a wr in the first. We did what we could in one offseason. The wr room got better. The oline got worse.

Well that sucked. Pretty amazing achievement, but it just felt a bridge too far. This team looked knackered, they've played a LOT of football, and all those close games I think took a toll...but they also look like they were papering over some clear cracks. The OL regressed, the DL remains incapable of pressure without blitz help, Kelce has slowed down and Mahomes was way off his best...which shows how blessed we are I suppose, that he can still get us to a SB.

We still have the best QB and HC, but the best roster belongs to the Eagles. Roseman has built an absolute monster and as much as I love Veach, I think Roseman is the standard for roster building. There's no Nnadi, Nazeeh Johnson, there's not even much mediocrity like Cook, Taylor etc. It's just unbelievable the quality and depth they have. As much as QB and HC matter most, there's just a point where overall talent is hard to beat.

The fact that they'll be so much churn in the off-season I honestly think will be a plus. We need another great draft and an injection of talent. We'll be back.

The thing is, yes our OL regressed but it's not like our DL or even our secondary compared well to the Eagles, let alone our WRs. Hate to say it but Roseman's put on a masterclass in roster building. They've had a bit more luck on injuries than us this year, but I'm not sure I see Roseman giving Taylor that contract.

Yet none of those clowns have taken to the mic or X to take the blame for the loss. Cowards...

Well let's hope they make some moves quickly, we have a rough regular season next year.

Philly has the more talented roster for sure. Some of it comes down to aggressiveness on void years. Somehow they have a big money QB, TWO big money receivers, big money on the offensive line, and a big money defense. And a big money running back on top of all that. Void years out the wazoo to cheat the salary cap as long as possible. The Chiefs don't really play the void year game to the same extent as Philly, but maybe they should try it. Philly has been doing it for 10 years and never had serious consequences from it.

I can't help but think if you had Orlando Brown at Left Tackle, Joe Thuney at Left Guard, and saved some money at Right Tackle (perhaps Wanya Morris instead of Jawaan Taylor), the game tonight would have been a lot more competitive. It makes all the difference in the world to have a solid OL and especially a solid blind side for the QB, even if you might be outgunned in other areas of the team.
