*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Again with the scared nonsense. Just give up control of the Losers, Cowards, and Traitors thing. It's now a conflict of interest.

Yea I have to say that's one of the dumbest and most cowardly posts he has ever made and that is saying something.

Not to mention players don't think like fans do, there will be no personal butthurt when they 3 Peat. There will be mad respect.

No, because I leave my fears at the door when it comes to gameday threads. UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE.

So it's okay to be a coward as long as it isn't in that one specific thread?

If you want to start a thread titled "Traitors, Losers and Cowards from random threads this week" be my guest.

No one has that, and no one would likely ever do it. It’s something we could forever hold over every other NFL franchise.

We must do this.
Get ready for the rejoinder that Green Bay won 3 consecutive NFL championships twice. The first time was in 1929/1930/1931. This occurrence is easily dismissed because there were no playoffs at the time. Neither was there any kind of recognizable structure that would be comparable to today's league.

The second time was in 1965/1966/1967, but in only 2 of those years was there a Super Bowl. The Packers played a grand total of 7 playoff games in those 3 years combined, and one of those games was only because there was tie for 1st in the divisional standings in 1965.

Friend of mine who’s a Dolphins fan tells me this all the time. It’s just a coping mechanism.

Far less playoff teams and far less competitive. In the 1960’s a ton of NFL players didn’t train. They had jobs. Plumbers, electricians, sales, bakery drivers, mail men.

Training camp was for getting back into shape. Not the same game

True but the players were all in the same position, the league changed over time and everyone evolved at the same time more or less.

The level of talent gap from player to player on the field probably wasn't much different than it is now.

Wilt's 100 point game? Never would've happened today.
8.8 Blocks per game? Wemby can only get to around 4 per game, and I don't think the number goes up that much more in his prime.

The skill floor was just so much lower for these guys back in the day.
