I would say the perception of a superiority complex commonly happens with fans of other teams when another team is very good.

A superiority complex is a defense mechanism to hide failure.... winning 25 of 27 (or whatever it is), etc, isn't masking anything resembling failure.

i wouldn't say the superiority complex comment had anything to do with football or the teams success more of people attacking Cleveland as a city because they seen something from 2005 or visited in the 90s.

generally when people do that unprovoked its because they are trying to build themselves up because their own insecurities.

Crappy job, crappy life, nothing going on for them ect .. so you are correct

OK, explain the TD run Mahomes had v. The Titans in the AFCCG….give me even one example of Baker even close to that individual effort…..and he’s never done it on that stage….just one please

Yeah, never understood area smack. We used to get it from Pats fans who felt superior because of where they lived. It was like a part of their identity.

One of the best things I've ever done is move away from the midwest (not that I dislike KC), so I don't really have a dog in that fight... but yeah, it's definitely a defense mechanism around here due to so many "flyover country" comments and Wizard of Oz references over the years (also from people who usually haven't visited the place they're bashing).

KC is great for BBQ and gameday at Arrowhead though.

I agree i work for the Cleveland Clinic and lately new coworkers moving from bigger cities New York, Chicago, D.C were surprised how much they like it here.

Plenty of fun things to do in Cleveland and you can get a lot for your money in nice suburbs. I think the larger cites are getting less desirable due to the housing costs getting ridiculous.

I have definitely looked at homes in the Cleveland area and I am surprised by how affordable they are. I really thought they would be more expensive than they are. I guess because of the skyrocketing price of homes in Colorado I just thought other parts of the country were the same way.

i mean they have went up a lot my home has almost doubled. i mean for 500k you can get a massive house with a pool in Solon where i live and they are a top 150 school district in the nation.

you cant get much for 500k in Denver, Seattle, NY, boston. in a decent area

I see what you mean. Some of those homes are easily $1M+ in Denver/Colorado Springs/Ft Collins and the surrounding areas.
