A long-term deal for Davonte Adams would spell game over for Denver. Until then, Denver is in good shape.

In your view, what is TOO MUCH to pay for Rodgers in a trade for the Broncos? Be specific - which picks and/or players is the limit?
I think anything significantly more than two #1's and two #2's is too much for a 38 year old QB. Especially since one of the picks is a top 10 pick (which is worth two late #1's by itself).

I'd like them to make some sort of deal involving players and draft picks. They're going to have to cut or restructure a bunch of guys, maybe they can rework some deals so that we eat some of the money via a future roster bonus or something.

Then you should stop dreaming about Rodgers... it's at least those 4 picks.

Then he’ll play on the tag. He’s not going anywhere and neither is Rodgers.

They’re not going to choose to rebuild when they can win a SB.

Rodgers would have to pass on a lot of money and force his way out.

Any money Green Bay can offer him Denver would be willing to offer him too.

Denver has the 5th-most space in the league.
Green Bay has the 2nd-fewest.

A large contract would hurt the Packers significantly more than it would hurt the Broncos.

Fact is, he is much closer to a Super Bowl in GB than Denver, and will be for the foreseeable future. As much as you don't want to face the facts, those are the facts.

You really need to start your pivot towards Jimmy G, Cousins, Wentz (My personal favorite) or Minchew.

I'd prefer the Wilson route...

How are the Packers going to be close to as good this year as they were last year?

They're going to have to cut multiple starters just to get under the cap.

Then, they have the following starters set to hit free agency: Davante Adams, De'Vondre Campbell, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, Robert Tunyan, Rasul Douglas, RT Dennis Kelly, G Lucas Patrick, Kevin King + their starting Kicker and Punter.

While the Rams, 49ers, Cowboys and Cardinals will be out there spending money and getting better, the Packers are going to be fighting just to keep their head above water. The Packers need to blow it up. It's the smart thing to do.

Are Aaron's fictional fraternity brothers wanting him to stay in Green Bay or go somewhere else? They're the guys he'll listen to.

They can do maximum restructures and have more than enough cap space to fit in a new Adams contract.

So you’d have no issues with them blowing it up and trading Rodgers somewhere other than Denver, right?

Blowing it up is the absolute WORST thing they could do right now. They KNOW this. Last year showed them what their future looks like with Jordan Love at QB and it SCARED THE HELL OUT OF THEM! They'll find the room in the end. You'll see....Remember a couple years back when Bart Vatch kept everyone the Chiefs wanted and signed new players with about $1.25 in cap space? It can and will be done in GB also. Franchise QB's don't grow on trees. When you have one, you KEEP HIM, because as long as you have him, you're a contender. You have NO CHANCE without one, just ask the Denver Broncos.
