Hamas, I don't know if you're looking for anything in particular, but I glanced around at some things they had left that I wasn't really interested in.
All the Callaway stuff is still there, Taylor made and Cleveland as well. Ping was pretty well stocked, but a lot of the iron sets were gone. IIRC, all Cleveland wedges this weekend are 50 bucks. They've got some vokey's left but they're mostly odd degrees. |

Nothing in particular. Just sad.

I don't think I'll have to buy a glove, tee, or ball atleast for 2 years now.
It was pretty intense because I've never seen a golf store actually have stuff priced that low. |

A few years ago Golf Warehouse or whatever it was closed on 121&Metcalf. Got some great stuff but after the first week, it was like a rotting carcass of trinkets. The last 3 weeks the place wheezed as people picked through all the divot tools and "keys to chipping" DVDs and driver head covers.
I like Watts, te one in OP is great and has sales. Golfsmith is a travesty that never has sales. The MO side needs more golf shops because currently it seems they're all in Joco |

Ok so I'm moving back up around K.C. in April/May (probably Grandview or Lees Summit) and I want to start taking up golf again seriously...my question is, what are some good courses/clubs to join that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
Willing to drive a bit and it's not like I'm asking for something dirt cheap or whatever but it has to be reasonable...just not real familiar with the golf scene up that way. Thanks. |

So the PGA banned the caddie races on 16. So some of the players have taken to racing up the hole. |

Is anybody here a member at Great Life Golf? Had to drop Lawrence Country Club for awhile until we get all of my wife's medical bills taken care of, but I'm thinking about going that route. Their premier membership for a family starts at $30.00 bucks a month and gets you unlimited access to Abilene & Chisholm Trail in Abilene, Berkshire/Prairie View/Western Hills in Topeka, The Old Elks Club course in Salina, Lake Perry, Desoto, Ottawa, Junction City, Maple Creek/River Oaks in KC, and The Oaks in Leavenworth.
Add another 10 bucks a month, and that gets you access to Shawnee CC in Topeka. Fork out 50 a month, and then you get Ark City, Leavenworth CC, Liberty Hills CC, and Deer Lake down in Springfield. Unlimited green fees, just pay for your cart. Fees include family members, so it looks like a good deal for me and my kids. Question is, are these all goat ranch golf courses?I figure if I play twice a week, and my kids (3 players) play two or three times a week, that turns into a bargain.

I'm shocked that Hamas doesn't have a swing break down of Chyanne Woods up all ready.

All those courses pretty much are goat farms. But for the price, you can't beat it.

Played all week in Maui. If there is one thing I can do, it's shoot 90 anywhere. Had 5 pars and a birdie. In February. What a beautiful place.

Mother Nature can kiss my ass. I'm dying to get out and play.
I've managed two rounds so far this year, both in shitty conditions, obviously. Played Tapawingo here in STL last month and the ground was frozen solid. Shocked the course was even open. Was a challenging round to say the least - was hitting massive drives due to the frozen fairways, but playing approach shots was a trick. Shot one over my career low. Matched my career low the following week in wet, windy conditions. Ready to get out and work to make sure these scores become the norm, and not some sort of fluke. Picked up a 9.5 X Hot Pro driver head in perfect condition for $45. Haven't had a chance to hit it yet - doubt it will knock my RazrFit out of the bag. Anyone making any equipment changes this year? |
