Laviska appears to be a reliable slot player, a prosessional reciever. Not sure how much that helps us.

Nate Taylor on Laviska Shenault on Times Ours: “ some people thought that the deal was done when I wrote about it”

Mentioned the MVS signing and talked like that was probably their backup plan but also teased us possibly getting him.

C’mon Veach let’s get that ****er on a deal

MVS was their backup plan to Viska?

And who does he mean by “some people”? People in the Chiefs building or listeners/readers?

Lottery ticket draft, liquidating the 29th or 30th pick.

Chiefs will have to strengthen the whole team because of the loss of Hill especially with the DL and DB depth of the 2022 draft.

I’m listening right now.

And I think he means people being Chiefs fans after he mentioned it on 610.

He said part of the Shenault trade was contingent on MVS but he thinks it’s still a possibility.

And now that I’m listening to it….I can’t tell who he’s referring to when he says “they thought it was done”.

He said “some people thought the deal was done when I wrote it in the Athletic. Some people. Now others will tell you that nothing has happened.”

Williams won’t be there at 29 or 30 and I’m not trading up to get him.

I’d flip the comp pick next year to move up a few spots, but it’s going to take more than that. Crazier things have happened, though. In a perfect world, I’d love to find a way to get Williams, Obajo and Austin without using a pick this year or our first next year to move up. Those would be 3 home runs and I’m sure Veach could make noise with the other 9 picks this year.

I feel like MVS should have been the back up but they know more than I. I'm still all in on Shenault at this point.

No I'd rather nab Pickens or Watson or Pierce in the 2nd.
