This was my first time reading through the game thread. WTF was up with that? We've come back so many times this season. We came back from 24-0 just a couple of weeks ago. 10 points in the AFCCG. GEEEZZ just throw them under the bus cause they are down 10 points and Mahomes is having a bad day?

We had many long time hard core fans with me watching the game. We were disappointed thats for sure but we never felt it was over or we had no chance.

I totally agree. It's classic Mahomes to only start really trying when people showboat in the end zone after an INT. And given that he was mic'ed up the entire game, we should be able to easily see how much that bothered him and how it inspired WASP and the ultimate comeback.

Except.... we see none of that.

49ers should not have kicked the bear with those premature celebrations. Pretty dumb.

Here is my original post- where do I say Mahomes was not trying?

I said it was dumb to celebrate like they had the game won- which it was. If you believe it was good for the 49ers to showboat like the game was over with so much time on the clock- to a team that already had two straight epic comebacks, great. Mic'ed up or not- the Chiefs took over the game after that.

You are the one that made a stupid comment after an innocuous observation.

The 49ers pre-celebration was made into memes all over social media because they were overconfident and then proceeded to lose the game.

I have refrained from any grief towards that. It takes a bit to shake off the mindset you've developed over the many, many years of pre-Mahomes.

I agree. I was not in the game day thread, I was watching with a few friends and some whiskey. While I never game up, I was certainly not happy at the 8 minute mark in the 4th...but I can honestly say, I still believed. Such a glorious finish to that game from the stupid 9ers early celebration till the hoisting of the Lombardi by Reid...

I ran up and down my street with my Chiefs flag screaming like a lunatic...best evening of football in the history of evenings of football.

But, I forgive those who doubted. It's understandable to say the least.
