50 Beers to Try Before You Die
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).
http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984 (CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"? How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

Drinking my last King Falling Flag from Narrow Gauge. It's one excellent Imperial NEIPA!

So Boulevard and Tech N9ne collabo'd on a Wheat beer based on his Caribou Lou drink that he raps about. The beer is a Wheat beer with Pineapple and Coconut. I'm not a huge fan of wheat beers, but I am a huge Tech N9ne fan. I'd like to get my hands on a couple of four packs of this. Looking to any of you KC locals for assistance. I can pay cash or trade beer. Let me know if anyone can help out. Thanks! |

On that note, this is the third time I've noticed rappers doing collabos with breweries. A couple of years ago, I noticed Nappy Roots, another favorite group of mine, started making references to craft beer in their songs. Then earlier this year, they announced a collabo with a brewery in Kentucky. Also, I recall Run the Jewels doing something with a brewery in Chicago (maybe Pipeworks?). I never would have thought the worlds of hip hop and craft beer would cross paths. Pretty cool. As you can see, I'm slowly coming back from my beer break. I'm headed to Great Raft tomorrow with a buddy. I'm hoping to snag you and myself a bottle or two of the latest Oceans Between Us release. They've also got some Grace and Grit cans available, but I'm not sure what the canned date is on those. I'll see when I get there. |

Run The Jewels has done collabs with Pipeworks, Interboro in Brooklyn, J Wakefield in Miami, Mumford in LA, Creature Comforts and one in Europe. I have an extra Pipeworks Panther Like A Panther I can kick you. It's a porter thats blended with other barrel aged beers. It was a 3-way collab with Pipeworks, Interboro, and J Wakefield. Their Stay Gold hazy from Interboro is fire. |

Fellow KC enthusiasts, if any of you are planning on rolling through BKS on Saturday, I'd be interested in trading for a Fleur de Lupulin bottle. I'm sitting on some different Pipeworks BA stouts and some various hazy hops I can trade. Plus Chicago craft beer week kicks off tonight with a bunch of awesome beer releases happening over the next 10 days from Mikerphone, Pipeworks, Half Acre, Forbidden Root, Corridor, Hop Butcher and many more (not More Brewing, I'm not brave enough for that impending shitlord show) that I can pick up.
Let me know if we can work something out. |
