So when do people stop going out to eat?

I have a customer who owns 5 Mexican Food Cafes here in the Phoenix area. The past few years we've reprinted their menus 6 times...always to accommodate higher prices. Their typical cost now is about $18.00 per entree...Mexican food.

On a personal note I stopped by a McDonald's today and paid $4.96 for a large order of fries. There's got to be a breaking point for most folks.

This guy is not bothered by restaurant costs. 1,000 consecutive days (excluding Sundays) of eating at Chick Fil A.

https://www.9news.com/article/news/n...KOLWRY5g5aHtwM

I really like Chick Fil A, but I wouldn't eat for 1,000 consecutive days at any restaurant.

Honestly, it was a fun job and I had a blast working there, especially if I was closing. We'd be cleaning up with Metallica or Iron Maiden blasting the boom box.

Good times. 99 cent Big Macs were a bitch though...
I worked there in 1977-1978. Worst job I ever had by far. As soon as we closed, we'd be clocked out only to work another hour or more off the clock. Even at 16, I had too much respect for myself to work there for under $3.00 an hour. Turning in my notice with no job prospects in sight felt as good as winning the SB. I've worked a lot of 60-70++ hour weeks in my life but I'd easily chose 10 hours of fulfilling work over 2 hours of the dehumanizing work of fast food.

I saw a story a while back about a guy who's eaten at McD's every day for like 25 years. There were a few days off here and there. If I remember correctly he always got a Big Mac plus whatever else. I thought he would have looked like an unhealthy slob, but he looked like a normal dude. He claimed he was fine physically.

If I remember correctly, this guy you reference ate a Big Mac every day (mostly). But that was just 1 meal a day.

In contrast, the guy in Supersize Me *only* ate McD's. His deal was that if he could not order it at McD's he would not put it in his body. Messed him up pretty quickly.

If they asked him "Would you like to Supersize your order" he had to.

At the end he was cringing when they asked him.
