Look for Jay Wright to repeatedly attack McCormack in ball screens over and over and over and over again. He knows how to exploit a weakness when he finds it. Just terrifying. How McCormack handles that and what, if anything, Self does in response will decide the game.

Yep. We need to run run run. Self kinda blew the game to Bucknell by letting them slow it down like they did, and he even admitted it as such. I expect us to run even more after a missed shot than we normally do. More possessions = more potential foul trouble for this 5-deep team. Make them play the shitty Arcidiacano.

YouTube TV is awesome. I just wish the picture was as clear as Netflix or Apple TV but Direct TV and cable is even worse. But the layout and GUI of YouTube TV is simply phenomenal.

Can't run effectively on a team that doesn't turn the ball over and plays as slow as Villanova (345th tempo in the country which is nearly last). Everything they do is to prevent the transition game.

Obviously, there are no guarantees in any game. Especially the Final Four.

That said, it’s going to take an incredible effort to overcome all of Nova’s losses. I’d say the exact same thing if the roles were reversed.

They’re basically going to play 5 guys all game. Unless the refs flat out swallow their whistles for the entire game, it’s just about impossible that they won’t have someone in foul trouble. And probably early.

We can talk about matchups until we’re blue in the face. I just find it extremely hard to believe any team could overcome the hand that Nova was dealt.

Villanova fouls very little (51st in the country in fouls per game) and limits possessions to an extreme extent, so if there is any team that can handle such a personnel deficit it is them.

Where did you read Self blamed the Bucknell loss on that? I went to that game and we were banged up and Langford had the flu. We weren’t a fast team that year anyway.
