*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The rest of the league just calls him "Daddy."

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

That does it. I've changed my mind. Patrick Mahomes is now my all-time favorite QB.

I decided to look up what active quarterbacks have super bowl wins. The list is short.

Mahomes - 3
Stafford - 1
Wilson - 1
Flacco - 1
Rodgers - 1

Even better, when you look at their ages you see that all of the others may be retired before very long.

Rodgers - 40 years old
Flacco - 39
Stafford - 36
Wilson - 35

It is exceedingly unlikely, but it would be incredible if we start a season in the next couple years with Patrick Mahomes as the only active NFL quarterback to have started and won a Super Bowl.

Would be cool but no chance outside of catastrophic injury to Russell Wilson. He’s the type of dude who will cling on and play as long as anyone will sign him.

We'll just have to hope that some retire and what's left become backups. It'd be almost as good to be able to say Mahomes is the only active NFL starting QB to have won a Super Bowl.
