***The Official EMAW Repository thread***

I know there are enough of us to participate in this thread, even when our seasons inevitably go to shit.

KSU vs Western Illinois today, tip-off at 3:00 pm.

One thing I noticed near the end of the game on Friday night - we had 5 true freshman on the court, and still played sound basketball. None of them were scrub walk-ons either. While I don't think we will make a serious run at anything this year, the foundation is being laid for a solid program in the future.

Interesting little historical fact that I discovered when trying to determine the origin of the mythical jayhawk bird many years ago (and this is basically admitted to by KU’s own website in regards to the mythical bird and atrocities carried out by the group(s) - jayhawkers were not only the Kansas equivalent of the Missouri border ruffians, it was a label applied to both sides early on. They (both sides) were war profiteers using a flag and cause as their cover to pillage and plunder and commit any other crime they desired.

KU is everything they claim to hate about Mizzou.

It’s no wonder they are surprised by K-State fans “sudden” hatred of them; they have been so far up Mizzou’s/their own ass, to realize we’ve hated their arrogant condescending ways for waaaaaaaaazy longer than Mizzou’s leaving the conference.

They are an insecure institution and fan base (evidenced by the fact that they have to claim big brother status even though they are the second child) with even deeper psychological issues of self resentment that they will never bring themselves to admit to, let alone deal with.
This is the authentic talk I come to CP for. You've convinced me. I really didn't need that much convincing after reading the first 400 pages of the first of Shelby Foote's Civil War Narrative Trilogy, and that's this: Kansas the state is soft as butter. I can't support the KU Jayhawks anymore than I can support the KSU Wildcats, when I really support.....Chase Daniel and Will Franklin and those Mizzou Tigers!

Everyone knows Blaine Gabbert went to Mizzou and they laugh about that, but before Gabbert, there was Daniel, and Daniel was once a Chief.

I think K-States biggest win came outside of sports getting that biological center
One of my favorite dragging moments came when NU's Lawrence Phillips dragged his ex girlfriend down the stairs of her apartment and smashed her head into a mailbox.

While her current boyfriend (Scott Frost) hid in a closet.

Where to start on that one... guy had some incredible coaches on his staff. They'd get to know him and leave quickly. He could recruit too. billay may still have the tear and semen stained pillow from his youth when Prince took Josh Freeman from them.

The lavender two tones look fabulous. The actual play on the floor is leaving a lot to be desired.

5 point deficit at half.

Snyder had some real characters as well. I hung out with one when I was bartending a few years ago. Forget his name but was a USC guy originally think he robbed someone or something then Snyder took him in. Interesting fellow

The Kansas Republican party gave Freemans dad a job and Josh was heavy into drinking and the booger sugar that's why his career ended so shortly.

Cats hit TTU with a 21-5 run to win by 10.

ISU loses in Stillwater. Cats alone in 1st in the conference.

The crowd was awesome today - especially the students. The last 10 mins of the game was an absolute ass kicking.

Good times!

17-2

Best start since 1961-62. I am turning 56 years old in March, and I have not seen K-State in a Final Four. I’m begging here!

There’s no true “dominant” buzzsaw at the top this year (2012 Kentucky, 2018 Nova, etc). This year would be as good a year as any for you all to do it.
