Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I'll say this, having done it more than a few times in my career, bridge-diving can be a nasty time. You find tons of stuff, but it's can be nasty. It's right up there with getting asked to dive docks in the Ozarks looking for watches, wallets, and rings, it's not the sexy experience many think it might be. Cold, dark, heads-down diving. And it's always right near a place where somebody tossed an Xmas tree...

I dunno. I've got a inert grenade that sits on top of my gun safe.

Just being facetious.

The grenade just doesn't any sense.

If it was inert, why throw it in the water? If it wasn't, did they forget to pull the pin?

How close is the body of water to a day college? Could be some hardcore hazing ritual going on.

I think the moral of this story is that trying to understand the minds of either criminals or drunk college students is a losing proposition . . . or redneck fishermen for that matter.

Probably most of them, especially the .22s. A .22 pistol is pretty much good for one thing - putting two in the back of someone's head.

Crazy Good Gun Saturday at the Timbers house
Went to the range and shot 4 different pistols (one 40, one 9mm and two 45's). blew thru 280 rounds total.
Gun Range offered 50 rounds of 40 for 18 bucks so I bought it. I am just going to start buying a box every time I am there. They limit it to one box per visit.

Next adventure-
Drove out east about 45 miles to my FFL dealer to pick up the sig P220 45 Nightmare today. She's a beaut. While there I saw a gun I had heard about but never really thought about too much. Canik TP9SFx- 9mm. I wanted something with a longer barrel to do some 10 -20 yard pistol training. Figured what the heck for $550 bucks and could add it this Background check. The thing is comparably to a glock build wise and came with two 18 round mags. Also bought 100 rounds of 9mm for 40 bucks. They were limiting it to 2 boxes.

Came home and 1000 rounds of 45 acp were in my office. Fed Ex came on Saturday. Woot Woot

Will have a drink or two and do some gun cleaning this evening. Yes I have already 2x checked - they are all empty.......
