Man if they can't put up some TDs on the steelers D you can be worried. It's awful. 31st against the pass. They are like 6th against the run but that's skewed because you can pass on them. West put up over a 100 yards on them.

Nope. Football Outsiders on Brock:

Osweiler is close to the ultimate dinker-and-dunker. Among quarterbacks with at least 150 attempts, only Matt Ryan has thrown a lower share of his passes deep than Osweiler. While some of that is play-calling choices, those choices also reflect Osweiler's shortcomings. Even with Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders at receiver, the Broncos rarely succeed on the rare occasions they do throw downfield.

I remember when Cassel needed a better offensive line

Ah, those were the days...

A turd with a good offensive line is still a turd

Brock is not a good QB and I hope Denver tags him.

He looks like Cassel out there.

brock sucks, he's a tall, awkward, 1 read and run dink and dunker excelling cause he's OK at running kubiak's misdirection offense WHEN the running game clicks. Give me ole man manning back for 3 games even if they are all losses (highly doubt it) then sell the farm for paxton lynch

Poor man's Alex
That doesn't say anything about him not trying to throw the ball downfield, it simply confirms he's not successful at it when he does try it. He also doesn't have much time to throw the ball.

Alex has actually been good at throwing the ball downfield this season, so calling Brock Alex Smith is far fetched.

Matt Cassel..

I love it that posters here are starting to buy into Alex Smith. Maybe, or should I say, hopefully, KC signs him to an even bigger, longer and more expensive contract. You can have your Smith. If Brock doesn't pan out, oh well, I'm confident Elway will find a good QB.
