50 Beers to Try Before You Die

Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984
(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

Well I went and did some Mix and Match at Total Wine. Nothing like hitting the booze store at 9 a.m. Had the store to myself. Their Mix and Match section has expanded tremendously. It used to have a handful of sour choices and now contains multiple shelves of them. I also can believe all the Boulevard releases I was seeing. They make a ton of beer there it seems.

That Founder's Breakfast Stout is easily in my top 3 favorite beers of all time, maybe even my favorite. Enjoy!

I've yet to be disappointed with a Ballast Point beer, it's one of my favorites here.

Awesome. I know I’ve had theirs before but not this. I’ve been so into the bourbon scene this past year, I’ve rarely drank much beer. These are all new. I forgot how awesome Total Wine’s selection of beer is and now it’s expanded it seems for things I like such as Sours.

I've made a few Total Wine/BevMo runs.. I tend to buy more from BevMo even though it seems like Total Wine has a larger selection of beer.

Drinking a Ballast Point Victory at Sea. This stuff is amazing. Still doesn't top Founder's Breakfast Stout in the coffee beer category for me but its pretty close.

Pleasantly surprised by the New Belgium Sour Saison. I'm a sucker for the style, so I purchased. I enjoy (and I'm not a huge fan of most of NB's offerings these days).

Annual Hopslam post. I didn't pick any up but there definitely seems to be more mini-kegs around here this year. Always wanted to grab one of those.

I like it because it actually tastes like a beer, still. A lot of sours that have come out since the style has become more popular are pretty one-note and just taste... sour. This one actually has some saison funk happening behind the sour.

Please pardon the Facebook status meets Instagram post but after 132 days I've been extracted from the halo today and I'm doing a little Monday afternoon celebrating.
